7 July 2004 Stand Out Comedy
| | | Young comics will perform |
| | The cream of Liverpool's young, (and we mean young) comedy talent will perform in a special webcast this Friday night, live from the BBC Liverpool studios. |
| | | Teenagers from across Merseyside who've been honing their comic talents with the Liverpool Comedy Trust will perform in 'Stand Out On Tour', the search for Merseyside's newest comedy talent. Part of the Liverpool Comedy Festival, Stand Out gives young people the chance to showcase their jokes, one liners, school yard anecdotes and juvenile japes in front of a specially invited audience. You can watch the performance live here on the BBC Liverpool website. Simply click on this link to watch from 7pm on Friday 9th July. Liverpool is rightly famous for it's comic heritage from Tommy Handley and Arthur Askey through Ken Dodd, and Carter. This is your chance to see the scouse stars of tomorrow perform live. The Liverpool Comedy Trust works with 14-18 year olds across Merseyside teaching them the skills needed to become a top stand up. Think you can do better? Why not record your own stand up routine and send it to us at BBC Liverpool, 55 Paradise Street, Liverpool L1 3BP. We'll host it on the site and allow users to vote on your comic talents
Log on to BBC Liverpool at 7pm on Friday 9th July to watch the show live from the BBC's Community Studio.
