BBC Radio Leicester is giving itself a makeover! From Monday 30 July 2007 the line-up will be changing and there will be some fantastic new shows for the afternoon. Baxter's backNew afternoon presenter, Chris Baxter, reveals a little bit of what will be coming up on his show: If you thought summer afternoons mean siesta, then wake-up and tune in! Join me, Chris Baxter, weekdays on BBC Radio Leicester between 14:00 and 17:00. ![]() Chris in action! I want to talk about the things you're talking about: your hopes, your day-dreams, and the things you worry about too. If you've got a story you want to share, then let me know via e-mail. If you're reading a good book, learning something new or changing your life, get in touch and spread the word! You'll also hear regularly from Jo Bostock. She'll be keeping you up-to date with showbiz news and gossip, and reporting on slices of your life! And - there'll be helpful stuff too. For example, BBC Radio Leicester's gardening heart-throb Ady Damon will be popping-in with advice for you! And between 16:00 and 17:00, we'll step-up the travel news for your journey home, keep you up-to-date with news and sport, and give you a genuine snapshot of what's going-on in Leicestershire and life in general! Daggers on DriveFormer Leicestershire cricketer and sports reporter Charles Dagnall is taking over Drive from 17:00 - 19:00. So what's new here? Drivetime is changing on BBC Radio Leicester and it's got a new presenter… Me! And, I'm here at a new time - 5 o'clock every weekday afternoon. ![]() Daggers on your drive home In the first hour I'll bring you the top stories of the day, from Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, across the country and across the world. We'll be tackling the stories that affect you and yours. I will leave no stone unturned and I'm not afraid to ask the difficult question. Plus we will update you every 20 minutes with the latest travel news, the weather, plus a full sports bulletin at 17:30. What's more, I will play your favourite music to make the journey home much more bearable. After 18:00 it's time to get switched onto sport! Monday nights will be the football forum as usual, and joining me to answer your Leicester City questions will be the Birch and Jon Barber. The Rugby Hour will continue on a Wednesday, and on Friday I'll look ahead to the weekend's action. Whatever sport you follow, there'll be something for you, whether you support City, the Tigers or Leicestershire Cricket I will have it covered.
