FACTS

The trains include plug sockets for laptops and mobile phone chargers

It has cost Midland Mainline £160 million for its 23 new trains

The company aims to have 10 new trains in service by December 2004

You can catch the new service to London at 1004 and 1604 from Monday to Friday with more new trains running shortly

When we got a letter from Midland Mainline saying they wanted to push the launch of their new high-speed, sleek trains, we were touched.

Rather than getting a freebie and keeping it to ourselves, we asked some Radio Leicester listeners to review it for us - and they did!

Did the new £700,000 brand new 10:04 service from Leicester live up to expectations. It arrived on time (of course) and our spies boarded.
