FACTS

The tune comes from a nineties song of the same name by Manchester band - The Farm.

all_2gether_now - the song

watching the mix downOn Red Nose Day, twelve of us went into the recording studio at BBC Leeds to record the new song for all_2gether_now. A coach came to collect us at school and we were off! It only took a few minutes to get to the BBC from our school.

This is me with purple hair (for Red Nose Day!) in the studio.

We were fantastic on the day and sang the best we have ever sang! Rickardo and Sasha were great rapping the www.bbc.co.uk/leeds part of the song and Jodie, Sameena and Cherraine were just brilliant with those harmonies.

Mr McGregor had written the words with some year 6 children for the first project and has changed them again to fit in with the web-club project. It was really difficult not to sing the old words, but we all managed it even though we were really nervous.

The music in the back was played and recorded by Gerry Ryan for us. Mr McGregor can't get in touch with him to give him a copy of the finished C.D. ...so if you're out there Gerry get in touch with us again at Shakespeare! We all miss you!

I really like the bit in the song when the rappers go, "breaky, breaky, break-down..." It sounds really cool.

I hope you like it too.
