Using a spreadsheet
Work It Out

The Sold, Sales and Totals information on Alistair's spreadsheet can be calculated
using formulas.

To calculate the Sales for Hell Zombies you need to know:

  • No. of CDs Sold x Price = Sales (total income from the sale of CDs )

To complete this sum you will need to know:

  • The price of the CD (this is in cell C2)
  • How many CDs sold (this information will be in cell F2, but you need to work this out)

There is a simple way of copying the formula into the other Sales cells without having to type it in 4 times. You can drag the formula down by using the handle on the bottom right hand corner of the cell:
