Hannah Feddon did A Levels in Art and Biology. She'd like to be a Quantity Surveyor and build a successful career in the construction industry, gaining the respect of all those around her. Hannah will be working as an assistant project manager for one of the world's leading construction companies. Bovis Lend Lease is a world leader in the construction industry, responsible for high profile projects like the Scottish Parliament Building and the Treasury.

The Brief

Bovis Lend Lease is involved in work on Plantation Place, one of the biggest developments in the heart of London. Hannah was asked to put together a presentation for the project director and his team.

Hannah acted as a project manager, looking after the structures. In her presentation, she had to discuss the continuing debate in the construction industry over the comparison between steel and concrete frames.

The company had chosen steel frames for Plantation Place, so they wanted Hannah to investigate the advantages and disadvantages. They would be able to use her findings to see if they had made the right decision.
