Four young Gypsies share their thoughts on their lifestyle, heritage and the future for the Romany heritage.
Amy is half Romany and her mum used to live in a caravan until she was eight, but then it got harder and harder to find stopping places. They live in a house now, and don't really follow the "old" way of life at all... Charlotte tells of of the days when her parents and grand-parents went hop picking. Joe likes the country life. Sarah tells about cooking meat pudding over an open fire and shares here grandmother's recipe. Charlene is positive about the future. Annie and Lizzie talk about life in a cramped house.. |
