Bubbles' Granny was a fortune teller and as part of the travelling family she saw all sorts of places, including the Isle of Man.

The family lived in just two wagons. Part of the year was spent fruit picking in Kent, where Bubbles describes the atmosphere as "like a fair every week".

Things were not all rosy. Bubbles descibes how the authorities were "so racist" that all the Gypsy children were put together in one class, away from the others, no matter what age they were.

She regrets that her grandchildren will never know about travelling, and she pines after a good green run in the summer, just whiling away the time travelling round the countryside.
