Tales from the Royal Square

Royal Square Tales - Episode 3

BBC Radio Jersey's Home Affairs producer brings you an alternative look at the States; it's the perfect remedy for all of you who are fed up of serious reporting on our government and fancy an irreverent look at life in the States.

Are you the sort of person who, when someone asks “How are you” replies in detail? If so then listen in to this edition of Royal Square Tales to get some good advice from the Deputy Bailiff.

The Roll of Shame had been extended and a separate section produced to include those who say “at this moment in time” rather than the more simple three letter word “Now”.

And in Hamish Marett-Crosby’s fortnightly tongue in cheek look at the States, we consider the question of the value of understudying for the role of minister and – adding a spoonful of seriousness into the mixture – open up for consideration the question of personal responsibility for ministers in the public arena.
