Irishon the BBC
When the Irish language learners' series, Giota Beag, was first broadcast, its producer, Róisín Ní Chéileachair decided to bring a panel together and give them the task of undertaking the course. They were an interesting and strong group, of all ages, linguists and non-linguists amongst them eventually becoming known as the famous five! How did they get on? Listen below to the sound clips which first appeared as part of the Irish language radio programme Blas in the year 2000.
Week 1: Giota Beag’s Learners’ Panel
