Hello!
My Name is Michael and I live in germany near
Duesseldorf and Cologne.

I am doing family-history and researching.
Just now I am at the point where I am searching
for information about my fathers time in India
and Burma (Myanmar).

In 1942 he worked there as a teacher for english language, religion and geography.
He was a member of the De La Salle Christian Brothers.
My father was held in an civilian internment camp in/near Premnagar/Dehra Dun.

A very famous man was also kept in this camp: Heinrich Harrer (a part of his life was filmed "Seven Years in Tibet" with Brad Pitt).
Unfortunately Mr. Harrer has no special recognition about this time at the camp he wrote to me some month ago.

So I am trying to find out more by this way.

Michael
