lest we forget let us give to them as they gave for us

when i first walked along the beaches of normandy i was taken aback by the depth of the beaches, being on the ships for about 36hours and maybe longer, sea sick, tired, hungry, scared, and between 18 and 20 years old then knowing when you land on any one of the beaches there is someone waiting there to take you out what mus the feeling be of all those soldiers, and we must not forget that they had to run maybe 400 to 500 yards through water how must the felt,we cannot imagine how they felt only think how i would have felt with heavy uniforms riles and soaking wet and then fight a war,i think the youths of today could not of done or do it,that is why i am doing what i do for these brave and wonderful people the survivors and the fallen i cannot thank them enough every time i go into a military cemetary i cannot leave without putting flowers on an unknown soldiers grave for me to do it for a known soldier i would have to do for everyone there so i just do for those who have no visitors but not forgotten i close now by saying they gave for us let us give to them thank you and godbless all veterans.

my best regards

peter
