While doing research on my Family Tree I was given the following information, believed to be relevant to my Grandfather ...

"Following a taunt that the Pioneers were sub-standard, Lt. T.J. Edwards swam ashore from HMT 'Ettrick' to the shore fully clothed, including boots and mackintosh" .....

I am, at present, following this up, and will post further info asap, but it does sound very like the old boy !!!
