In 1944 I was drafted to Cocanada form RAC Depot Poona for an attatchment of the 25th Dragoons as a member of No 7 Training Team.

My job was to train the 25th Dragoons on DD Shermans for the planned invation of Malaya.

We lived in Bashers which where accomadation made from palm leaves and bamboo poles.

The training took place around the Bay of Begal off an Island kwown as Spit.

I have read the story by John Leyin in the Arcives Listing and I am interested in any other information about this period.
