Riding a motorcycle

The photograph shows Jack Evans, "Coogie" as he was better known, riding on a motorbike.

They all spent a lot of time on bikes and even had Inter-Regimental platoon trials. Coogie won, (of course) - receiving a trphy as his prize.

He served in the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers (REME) and was based in Italy from 1945 - 1948.

I, Becky Barugh (of the BBC Radio Shropshire Action Desk) have added this photograph to the BBC People's War site on my own behalf. I fully understand the site's terms and conditions.
