I think, to have been brought up in Africa - I feel that I developed a strong identity with Britain but also at the same time I saw myself as a citizen of the world. Because I grew up accustomed to other races, other nations, other parts of the world.
I do feel greatly blessed to have the slides that so vividly portray and bring it all back to life. That period, it's a short enough period of time, but I feel l can recapture it very vividly - through the slides.
