As our 'Breakfast Show' presenter, Mike is no stranger to working odd hours.
He spent 10 years in the Navy defending the Empire’s outposts, and eight as a rep for a medical company, before turning his hand to radio at the relatively advanced age of 35.
Mike, who was brought up in South Herefordshire, is now married with four children and two grandchildren.
He says the move to 'Breakfast' after six years on the Mid-Morning programme hasn’t been easy, especially since the section between 7 and 9 is an all-speech part of the programme, with no music to fall back on if things go awry!
