Lambert was a Major General at the time of the Battle of Worcester, and had been fighting for the Parliamentarian side since the beginning of the civil war. He was second in command to Cromwell. After the restoration of Charles II he spent the remaining 24 years of his life in jail.
RICHARD DEANE 1610-1653
Deane was an artillery officer with Cromwell's New Model Army. He later served with the Navy after the execution of Charles I, and was killed at the Battle of North Freland. He was given a state funeral and buried in Westminster Abbey, but was disinterred after the restoration of Charles II.
CHARLES FLEETWOOD 1618-1692
Was a General of Horse with the New Model Army, as well as the MP for Marlborough. He married Cromwell's daughter Bridget. He was Commander in Chief in Ireland for a year under Cromwell's protectorate. After the restoration he was not imprisoned because he wasn't involved in the trial and execution of Charles I.
