The Irony are a band from Evesham, with there own unique sound, whose songs range from slow melodic acoustic ambience, to middle end electric rock. ![]() The band claim their instantly catchy melodies and lyrics will find you singing along to their music - even after the first listen. All of the tunes are written by front-man David Hughes. He tells stories within his songs, and all the tracks have meanings which the audience can relate to, as people always want to know what happens next in a story. Their performance at the Evesham Rock Festival was one of the band's highlights, playing to over 500 people, where they received headline reviews in the local press. They have also played gigs around London, including Hammersmith and Camden Town, as well as the famous and prestigious Cavern Club in Liverpool, once home to The Beatles.
