Age Rage features

Painful Packaging

Painful Packaging

Helen Carlyle used to live in Malvern. She's written a series of hilarious poems in a book called Age Rage. Here's some of her work...

"To Open - Peel Back Here" - it says,
Instructions loud and clear.
But stiff old hands can't do it,
Without heavy lifting gear!

You ease, you squeeze, you gently tease,
You clip, you strip, you lose your grip,
You sweat, you fret, your forehead's wet,
You wail, you rail, you've torn a nail,
You tear, you swear, you pull your hair,
You turn, you twist, you've hurt your wrist,
You stamp, you champ, your hands get cramp,
You hack, you wack, you've done your back,
You smash, you slash, your teeth you gnash,
You shake, you break - for Heavens sake!

It's easier to breach Fort Knox
Than get inside this stupid box!
