An emergency meeting is taking place to work out the future of a charity, set up in the wake of the Hagley minibus crash. The crash, on the M40 motorway in 1993, killed 12 schoolchildren and their teacher from Hagley Roman Catholic High School, in Worcestershire. Only two girls survived the crash, which set the minibus on fire. The Brambles Trust charity was set up by one of the parents who lost a child in the accident. The charity helps children and young people understand and deal with the normality of death, to show them that they are not alone, and to strengthen their families so that they can support each other. Its future is now threatened by of a lack of money. |
