Description
Fifteen specialists have gathered together to celebrate everything Rosa in a marquee dedicated to the flower. With old and new roses on display and experts to talk to, this really is a wonderland for any rose enthusiast.
This year an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ theme runs throughout inspiring displays such as ‘tea on the croquet lawn’ where topiary Rosa mundi bushes surround a vintage croquet set and represent the white roses ordered to be painted red by the Queen of Hearts.
At the heart of the marquee and making its public debut, is the Rose of the Year 2012 ‘Moment in Time’ (Korcastrav). A floribunda repeat- flowering rose with ruby-red petals and dark glossy leaves, it’s compact in habit and makes an ideal container rose as well as a rose for the border. It will be available nationwide from rose nurseries and garden centres from autumn 2011.
