Singer songwriter Alex J Dunne from Winchester had been lurking in the "Sessions Pending" box for quite some time - January 27 saw them pack their gear for a road trip to Brighton and a session on South:Live.

Alex's music came to the show via the demo panel and since then he has expanded from a one man band into an outfit called Alex & the Ligers. The band are planning to put out an EP shortly.

The band have been sighted at gigs all around the south, and front-man Alex's vocal style has been described as having the ability to "portray emotion and pain in the style of Jeff Buckley having a duet with Kurt Cobain".
