The BBC is not responsible for the content of external websites Help playing audio/video Thousands of people across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight braved the miserable weather to run through city streets, beautiful parkland and stunning coastal paths on Sunday to raise money for Sport Relief. ![]() Fairies warming up on the start line There were 23 flagship miles dotted across the UK. In Hampshire & the Isle of Wight six local miles took place in Ryde, Fareham, Portsmouth, Havant, Winchester and Bordon. The flagship mile for the south was in Southampton. Three-legged fairies, a trio of storm-troopers and a group of runners from Hampshire Fire & Rescue joined the thousands of fun-runners to run one, three or six miles through the city's parks. Amongst the famous faces who joined in the fun in Southampton were Radio 1's Scott Mills, Tracy Beaker, solo yachtsman Alex Thomson, and motor racing star Andy Priaulx. ![]() Scott Mills & the storm-troopers get ready to run You can watch highlights of the action from the 23 flagship miles on The Mile Show, Sunday 16 March, 3pm, BBC One. Steve kept on runningBBC Radio Solent's new drivetime presenter Steve Harris ran more than a mile for Sport Relief - in fact he ran 24 miles in 24 hours. From 7pm on Thursday Steve ran a mile every hour in different locations including Eastleigh, Fareham and Winchester.
