Gordon King, from Highnam, grew up in the small riverside town of Newnham. He often returns to the town -especially the picturesque churchyard. He not only visits the church yard for its obvious tranquil qualities. He also goes there to be close to his family and reflect on a happy childhood but, as the wording on one gravestone testifies, one filled with risk.
