Memory Cakes

Doreen Hobbs from Slimbridge, in Gloucestershire, has made a cake for every occasion. Not only does she bake for her family and friends she also makes them to mark important events in the village.

She's not a confectioner by trade but even throughout her working life, in management, she was inundated with requests to bake special cakes to celebrate other people's important milestones.

Now retired she and her husband Geoffrey enjoy life at home and in their garden, as well as being part of an active community… which still requires her to make cakes!
