This rose was bred and introduced in 2007. It has a vigorous growth habit that makes it ideal for growing as a shrub at the back of a mixed border or as a climber against a wall. The foliage and young stems are bronzy-red at first, becoming a fairly dark green. It's also extremely healthy and disease-resistant. The apricot-peach double blooms are produced freely and have a strong pure tea fragrance. It's named after Port Sunlight, the model historical village which was originally built by Lord Lever for the workers at his soap factory in the Wirral.
