I am very proud. I've always watched since the first series and it was a thrill to be in the tent... I'm chuffed.

  3. Has anything changed after the Showstopper?published at 20:57 GMT 24 February 2016

In a word. No. All we can say is that Will's definitely not taking that Star Baker apron home...

It's looking like Ade and Morgana are neck and neck at this point - but who'll ultimately take the last title of the series home?

  4. "I've never seen anything quite like it before"published at 20:56 GMT 24 February 2016

Can Ade claim Star Baker for his 'cupist' Sir Cliff?

Paul's very keen on Ade's design, but what will Paul make of the taste?

The cranberry cupcakes don't float Paul and Mary's boat, but they're loving Cliff's ginger trouser cupcakes.

"You should be very, very proud of yourself. We've never had anything like that on Bake Off before," Paul says.

  5. "I think the cupcakes are fantastic"published at 20:55 GMT 24 February 2016

Will the judges go crazy for Morgana's House of Fools display?

"I think the idea's good," Paul says, surveying Morgana's finished Showstopper.

Mary tucks in with relish - and loves it. "The buttercream doesn't taste like buttercream. It's all coconutty and lime. It's lovely," the coconut convert declares.

"Yeah I like that," Paul agrees.

  6. "The hot water bottle looks oh-so-comforting"published at 20:54 GMT 24 February 2016

Can Alison's cat charm the praise out of Mary and Paul?

Mary praises Alison's professional looking effort, although Paul thinks the sponges are "too thick"

"The overall effect is brilliant. You promised us this story, and we've got it. Well done," Mary finishes.

  7. "I think some of the soup's fallen over the side"published at 20:54 GMT 24 February 2016

Will Paul and Mary call Will's cupcakes the pick of the bunch

Quick off the bat, Paul expresses his disappointment with Will's design, but Mary jumps to his defence.

That doesn't stop Paul from calling Will's cupcakes "overbaked, and a bit dry", however.

"It's just set like a solid pancake," Mary says of Will's underdone tomato soup experiment. Inside there's pretty much no crumb structure at all. Just dense, brick-like sponge.

  8. "Why have I got two spare ones?"published at 20:52 GMT 24 February 2016

Ade can't understand his excess cupcakes, until he realises; hands!

"She's cracking up! Prudence is cracking up!" Alison cries from her bench.

Morgana is also working on her own little hands.

And Will? Well he's definitely working on something!

  9. "No, no, no, no!"published at 20:51 GMT 24 February 2016

Alison squeals as her beautifully crafted fondant fox looses its eyes.

The rest of the bakers are piping their butter cream. Except Will, who is "slopping it on".

"I forgot about my eyeballs!" Morgana moans, grappling with an electric mixer.

  11. What would Pamela do?published at 20:48 GMT 24 February 2016

Sarah's quizzing Alison on her Gavin & Stacey character, the much-loved matriarch, Pamela. "How would Pamela have coped?" She asks.

"She'd have thrown it in the bin and got some vodka and tonic!" Alison laughs.

  12. Morgana's icing tippublished at 20:48 GMT 24 February 2016

Morgana's laid out her cupcakes and is icing them all in one go, snaking a fat log of icing across them.

"I just think it goes on a lot easier if you do it like this," she explains, "giving it a twizzle".

This could go horribly wrong, couldn't it? Mind you, Morgana's smashed it so far, so she's probably onto something...

  13. 90 minutes to go!published at 20:47 GMT 24 February 2016

Alison's rolling out some green fondant icing, and she's got an amazing leaf stamp to cut it with.

"I think diplomatically, it would be better if I didn't get Star Baker," Ade says, revealing wife (and Star Baker) Jennifer Saunders is a teeny bit competitive. "We don't let her play board games anymore."

  14. "I'm talking like I know what I'm doing"published at 20:46 GMT 24 February 2016

"I don't know what I'm doing!" Will whispers. (He's a fan of the whisper.)

"I'm quite disappointed with my tomato ones... They look a bit sad, don't they?" he admits.

  15. Morgana's last minute switchpublished at 20:45 GMT 24 February 2016

Morgana's grabbed some limes in a moment of desperation.

"Insecurely I've last-minute changed my recipe... and put some lime in!" She wails, giving a despondent look to camera.

  16. Will's home-grown tomatoespublished at 20:43 GMT 24 February 2016

"It's really fun this, actually," Will says, before flinging half the contents of his saucepan across his bench.

Will's making three different flavours of cupcakes - including tomato soup.

Will's tomato mix may have been a little too watery - Paul's double blinked to scare the hell out of Will, but Mary kindly encourages him to continue.

Oh and Will's proudest achievement? Not his number one singles, albums and record-breaking records - but successfully growing his own tomatoes. We're signing up for an allotment immediately.

  18. Morgana's ode to Juliepublished at 20:42 GMT 24 February 2016

Morgana's greatest achievement is Julie, her role in House of Fools, alongside her heroes Vic and Bob.

She's going to use the same coconut flavours throughout... And although Mary is known to dislike coconut, the lovely judge says she's "grown to like coconut."

"Will it taste of suncream?" Paul asks cheekily.

"You can use it as SPF, yes," Morgana agrees, putting some on her nose like a sun-phobic cricketer.

  19. Alison's Nuts in May displaypublished at 20:40 GMT 24 February 2016

Alison's going for a simple bake, with the Showstopping element being her decoration.

In the Seventies, Alison starred in Nuts in May, her favuorite TV role to date. Her character Prudence had a cat-shaped water bottle, and Alison's going to recreate this in cupcake form. An animal lover, she's also going to decorate her cakes with a plethora of wildlife.

  20. Ade's cubist Cliffpublished at 20:39 GMT 24 February 2016

Ade's decided to celebrate the Young Ones and Cliff Richard's Comic Relief duet with an (almost) life-size portrait of Sir Cliff made out of cupcakes. He's making lemon, chocolate chip, stem ginger, and cranberry flavoured cupcakes, and he's also constructed a frame to attach them to.

"I'm scared!" the ambitious baker admits - he's spent more time building his frame than practicing the bake itself.
