The pose in this fifth exercise has been selected as it has negative space for the artists to create the shape of the figure. It is influenced by Degas' Dancer at Rest.

Lying down
This fourth exercise, where the model is lying down, is an opportunity for artists to practice their foreshortening skills as the arms are at different angles to the body.

Seated
Next, our model is seated for our third exercise. This one lasts 15 minutes. The pose has been chosen primarily to test artists’ ability to draw hands and feet, although it also requires some use of foreshortening - which will be explored in more depth in the following exercise.
