BBC Radio 3’s award-winning Words and Music programme returns to Free Thinking for an atmospheric and uplifting evening of music, poetry and prose.

The readers are Sian Thomas (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Vanity Fair) and Tyneside-born actor Ron Cook (Secrets and Lies and 24 Hour Party People).

Inspired by the Free Thinking festival theme “Them and Us”, there will be live chamber music from The Aronowitz Ensemble and words from a selection of authors including Shakespeare, George Orwell and Jane Austen.
