Already the recipient of multiple Folk Awards, singer-songwriter Karine is up for three more this year after releasing 'Traces', her fifth album, last year.

Creating warm yet thought-provoking compositions, her music honestly deals with issues ranging from alcoholism to nuclear weapons. As well as success in her own right, Polwart has been part of MacAlias, Battlefield Band and Malinky, collaborated with Roddy Woomble from Idlewild and is currently part of supergroup The Burns Unit.
