From Roaring Twenties jazz and Bernstein’s sassy ballet of 1944, to present day New York’s Bang on a Can star David Lang. This concert looks towards a post-World War One future through the eyes of superpower America. Maya Beiser meditates within a post-apocalyptic spiritual world in a shimmering cello concerto written specially for her.
