Hailing from Kilmarnock (the same town as T headliners Biffy Clyro), now based in Glasgow, Fatherson have been making huge waves on the Scottish music scene for a number of years with their unique brand of folk pop. The band was formed when Ross and Marc were just 14, realizing “We were no good at football so we decided playing in a band was the best thing”. Scottish football’s loss is our gain!
Their debut album, I Am An Island, was released in April following a string of successful EP releases and support slots with Frightened Rabbit, Feeder, Twin Atlantic, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Lonely The Brave and Idlewild. The album was met with widespread critical acclaim and stormed the iTunes chart, despite being recorded in just 18 days at Gorbals Sound studio in Glasgow.
Fatherson are so excited about playing T this year they created a Spotify playlist with all the acts they’re hoping to catch this year. The playlist includes Royal Blood, Chvrches and Model Aeroplane.
