Jamie, Jack and Suren met at secondary school and later, rather ironically, met Ed at a funeral.
The band were given the opening slot on 2006's V Festival after winning a competition. They subsequently released two EPs and their debut single "Evening/Morning".
In 2008, the band was invited to play on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds during their GCSEs. Debut album ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose’ was released in July 2009 and went gold. They won the NME Award for best new band in 2010
They gained a coveted Ivor Novello nomination for "Flaws" in 2011 and featured on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack.
BBC have since released two top ten albums and their most recent ‘So Long, See You Tomorrow’ went straight to no.1.
Their sound has also matured with recent performances seeing them employ lush instrumentation. Recent single ‘Feel’ is built around a Bollywood sample, with electronic bass and beats - and catchy vocal hook to boot.
This is the fourth T appearance for the band.
