With their big, jump-up drum n bass/dubstep sound, Rudimental have taken a fair few successful guest vocalists into the charts for the first time - the likes of John Newman, Ella Eyre and Foxes all owe them more than a little debt for a wee leg up. They evidently have a canny ear for talent spotting, but it’s backed up by great production and quality songwriting. Feel The Love was the song that broke Rudimental and John Newman in 2012 - it went straight into the top of the UK charts.
2013 was also a great year for the Hackney quartet. Their album Home was nominated for a Mercury, with chart-topping singles, and tons of airplay on Radio 1, not to mention some huge festival appearances, including a headline slot at the 1Xtra Live gig in Leeds.
One of the best festival acts on the circuit.
