The Arctic Monkeys have headlined before, in 2011, and they are firm favourites with the T crowd.

Frontman Alex Turner's intricate lyrics, and the continuous re-invention of the band's sound (not to mention his adoption of a rockabilly hairstyle) have continued to bring them success, earning them Best British Group and Best British Album at the 2014 BRIT awards.

The most recent album, AM, saw their sound going in a more dancefloor-oriented direction. It has been universally acclaimed, and sold by the bucket-load all over the world.

The band formed in High Green, a Sheffield suburb, when Alex Turner and Jamie Cook were both given guitars for Christmas, aged 15. They later teamed up with their school pals to form the group.

Arctic Monkeys are credited as one of the first bands to come into the public eye via social media, changing the face of the music industry.

The band have won seven BRIT Awards and a Mercury Prize, including a BRIT for best album at the 2014 awards in February.
