Today's #TBT takes us back to 1997 for a live recording of Oasis performing Acquiese at Earls Court in London.

Noel today officially closed the door forever on his old band (scroll down) due to the behaviour of his brother and others on social media.

Led Zep's classic Immigrant song (which you can hear above) is featured in the newly-released movie, Thor: Ragnarok.

Now the song has just achieved its best ever digital sales week.

That's according to Billboard, external, which has the 1970 song at the top of the Hard Rock Digital Song chart.

Earlier this week, Jack Black voiced his frustration that the song had made it into the new movie, having begged Robert Plant and Jimmy Page for permission to use it in his own 2004 film School of Rock.

He issued actor Chris Hemsworth with a 'Battle of the Jams' challenge,

Would this be Thor 1 - JB 0?

Thor may have won the battle, but will he win the war?

The US singer's All I Want For Christmas tour plans have been shelved for now on doctor's orders, after she contracted a respiratory infection.

The 47-year-old, who usually hits some pretty high notes, broke the news to her "lambs" [that's fans] on Twitter:

"Lambs! Just in time for the holiday gift-giving season, it seems I’ve received a present of my own; a lovely upper respiratory infection after last week’s flu. Bleak!

"You know there is nothing I love more than celebrating the holidays with my festive Christmas show, but I have to take my doctor’s orders and rest until he says I can sing on stage,"

Mariah's website now says the crimbo tour will start on 27 November in New York.

She's due to perform in Manchester on 10 December and London the night after, so let's all say a prayer and hope for a pre-Christmas miracle.

All we want for Christmas is you Mariah - fit and well.

alt-J have shared a short seven-minute film to accompany the closing song Pleader from their Mercury Prize-nominated album Relaxer.

The track is based on the book How Green Was My Valley?, about a small mining community in nineteenth-century Wales and features a choir from Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire.

All said, its a pretty lighthearted romp.*

The Live Lounge has brought some of the planet's biggest music names to the BBC.

Jay-Z, Pink and Foo Fighters are just three of the superstars to have graced its studio in 2017.

So, it's only fitting that last night the Kurupt FM boys had a crack, after DJ Charlie Sloth invited them up to the 8th floor.

Their time spent starring on their fictional pirate radio station in BBC Three's People Just Do Nothing, clearly prepared them for this moment.

    Don't you think?

Eccentric American musician Thundercat popped into the 6 Music studio in Salford yesterday to chat to Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie.

The bass guitarist was a key contributor to Kendrick Lamar's acclaimed album To Pimp a Butterfly and he comes from great musical stock, with his dad Ronald Bruner having drummed for the likes of The Temptations, Diana Ross and Gladys Knight.

Even his brother Ronald Junior is a Grammy award-winning drummer, so imagine how loud Christmas is in that house?

His 23-track latest album Drunk, released earlier this year, featured contributions from Kendrick, Kamasi Washington, Pharrell, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald and Wiz Khalifa.

The 33-year-old from LA told Rad-Mac that his family is so well connected that the collaborations just "happen naturally."

Tame Impala are set to release a new track entitled List of People (To Try and Forget About) later today.

We say 'new', it's actually a track that didn't make it on to last disco-fuelled album Currents from 2015, on the basis that musical maestro Kevin Parker was "so over it" by the time it came to putting the record out.

It's the first cut taken from the new Currents B Sides and remixes collection which is out tomorrow.

We'll bring that to you later hopefully, before Aussie Kev pops off to bed but for now check out his video chat with Zane below.
