Presenter Greg James spoke to our reporter Mark Savage at yesterday's Teen Awards and said rehearsals were going rather well.

"We've done a couple of run throughs. It's all just going to happen I think, very quickly.

"Its a truly remarkable thing that the BBC have gone; 'do you know what? Let's do a live music show and put it on BBC One'.

    Quote Message

So I'm trying not to overthink it. I'm just going to enjoy it. What an opportunity just to get some great artists on telly and see what happens.

Greg and co-host Dotty (above) will be joined this week by Jason Derulo (below), Charlie Puth and Jessie Ware.

"I want it to be part of people's week. I feel confident in doing a show like this...we can do this - it's not rocket science.

"It's a half hour show with some great music and some fun bits that people can sit down at the end of the week and watch and hopefully enjoy."

  4. Star Trek and Star Wars composer honoured on birthdaypublished at 15:11 BST 23 October 2017

You may not know Michael Giacchino's name, but you are sure to have heard at least some of the music he’s composed for such blockbuster films as Star Trek, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Pixar’s The Incredibles.

All and more could be heard on Friday night during a 50th birthday celebration for the American composer that drew an enthusiastic audience of film fans to the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Also in attendance were JJ Abrams, Gareth Edwards and other film-makers for whom Giacchino has created.

There was also a cameo appearance from The Muppets’ Great Gonzo, which is not the kind of thing you expect to see at this revered and distinguished venue.

The real star, though, was the music itself, performed with gusto by the Cinematic Sinfonia under the baton of Switzerland's Ludwig Wicki and Giacchino himself.

Stirring, lush and sweeping, it showed Giacchino to be the natural heir to the great John Williams - notably during a 'Marvel Suite' that combined his music for Doctor Strange and Spider-Man's recent big-screen outings.

    Never a truer word spoken.

Essex singer Anne-Marie hot-footed it from the Sunday Brunch studios to the Teen Awards yesterday where she presented Stormzy with an award (below).

The 26-year-old told our reporter Mark Savage that she "might put out another single" before Christmas but that next year definitely will bring a new album and tour.

The video for her last single Heavy, external came out in September and sees two Anne-Maries sat together, deep in conversation.

What's the message we are supposed to read into this? A quite literal one apparently.

She told Mark: "In that video I wanted to show that sometimes you need to have a word with yourself.

"No matter how many times people say you can do it, you can move on, you're great...you don’t actually do it until you sit down with yourself."

So make time for yourselves out there folks, because you're the best friend you'll ever have.

  11. Teen Awards: Liam Payne is 'quite a messy person'...if he's honestpublished at 13:30 BST 23 October 2017

    Mark Savage
    Music reporter, BBC News

    Liam Payne

The sometimes One Direction and now new solo star was first down the red carpet to see our reporter Mark Savage.

Top marks for punctuality there Liam.

He told him his reaction to the success of his first few solo singles and also revealed who's in charge of domestic duties in his house with girlfriend and Girl Aloud Cheryl and baby Bear. Turns out it's none of them....

    Q) Strip That Down is the most successful One Direction solo single. Did you know that?

I saw the press release come out and was like 'wow!' I can’t believe that we got to that point. I never saw it coming with Strip That Down, I knew the song was good and obviously it was written by Ed Sheeran…But no, incredible I cant believe it

And what about Bedroom Floor. How do you feel now that's finally out?

Relief. It’s a numb feeling when you put something out there because there's such a lot of build up to it. So once its finished and out there you’re like 'what do I do now?'

But you have to let it go and see what the public say. We had two million streams in 24 hours so I was super happy with that - I never expected anything like this.

Who picks the clothes up off the bedroom floor in your house?

(Laughs) Well I have a cleaner but I try not to be messy. I am quite a messy person though if I'm honest. But I don’t get in trouble for it, which is good.

  15. Teen Awards: Camila Cabello wants to do a whole album in Espanolpublished at 11:50 BST 23 October 2017

    Mark Savage
    Music reporter, BBC News

More from yesterday's Teen Awards now where Camila Cabello says she had no idea that her track Havana would become the smash hit it has.

Check her out above singing the catchy ode to the capital of her native Cuba and below havana chat with (sorry) BBC Music reporter Mark Savage backstage.

She told him all about the track, which British artists she wants to work with next and how she hopes to one day record a whole album in her mother tongue Spanish.

    Q) Did you think Havana would be this big?

I did not, honestly. Nobody did. Everybody kept telling me it shouldn’t be a single and that it would never work for radio, and they were like ‘Oh, it’s just another song’.

I’ll Never Be The Same, I definitely want it to be a single but Havana was just kind of – I just wanted to put out songs because I was on tour with Bruno Mars and so that song just had this organic reaction from fans and it ended up becoming a single.

What was it like to work with Pharrell?

We did a couple of songs together, Havana was one of them. He just has such an inspiring but centred, calm vibe. I feel like he probably knows the effect that working with him has on somebody. Obviously because of everything he’s done and how talented he is, it can be kind of intimidating. But how he is, how he treats you makes you feel so comfortable and at ease.

Who else would you like to collaborate with?

One of your very own, Charli XCX. We actually already did a song together, it’s called OMG that I put out, but I would love to go back in [the studio] with her because I think she’s amazing.

Ed Sheeran would be amazing. Dua’s here, I love her. She’s amazing. Sam Smith. Lots of Brits. You guys do it well.

After the success of Despacito and Mi Gente, would you like to release something in Spanish?

Yeah, definitely. It’s such a big part of who I am, such a big part of my daily life and culture. I would love to do a whole Spanish album one day – but I have to spend just as much time and dedication...I’m on my first, like, you know English album and it’s taken me almost a year - so I want to put the same amount of time and effort and care into the Espanol.

JT sang at the 2001 Super Bowl with former band N'Sync before sharing the stage with Jackson in 2004.

That performance saw the singer rip off part of Jackson's bodice, exposing her right breast.

The "Nipplegate" moment overshadowed events on the field and saw broadcaster CBS receive a record fine.

Many believe Janet's career was damaged and never quite recovered from the fall out, now fans online are angry that Justin has been forgiven by the NFL and invited back while JJ, who this year gave birth to her first baby - aged 50 - has apparently not.

They've started the hashtag #JusticeForJanet campaign which you can see below.

  19. Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Little Mix & Stormzy crowned at Teen Awardspublished at 10:05 BST 23 October 2017

    BBC Radio 1

The sound-proofing inside London's Wembley Arena was tested to the max yesterday afternoon as fans went crazy for their pop heroes at the Radio 1 Teen Awards.

One of the big awards on the day went to Dua Lipa, who performed best single New Rules (above) in her furry white dressing gown.

In the wars Ed Sheeran was resting his broken bones but still won best British solo artist and on tour Little Mix sent a video message of thanks after bagging best British group.

Ariana Grande was named best international solo artist while Stormzy scored a well deserved gong for most entertaining celebrity.

Check out the nine biggest moments from the award, including when Camila Cabello met Rose and Rosie.

Speaking of Camila, the former Fifth Harmony singer brought the show to a stunning end by helping James Arthur with a rendition of his hit Say You Won't Let Go.

Liam Payne threw on his best motorbike jacket to perform his track Get Low which you can get be-low.

The event wasn't a 'hole' lot of fun for TOWIE star Gemma Collins however, who endured an unfortunate stage fall.

The reality TV star 'stacked it' while presenting the award for best TV show, which went to Love Island.

Luckily though she was able to see the funny side, comparing herself to fellow high profile comic slipper-uppers Madonna and Bridget Jones.

Congratulations to Pink who has scored her second UK number one album with Beautiful Trauma.

Her seventh studio album shifted a very respectable 70,000 copies on all formats.

The 38-year-old has also revealed that fellow pop star Christina Aguilera once tried to punch her in a club!

She told US chat show host Andy Cohen she found it "hilarious".

They've made peace now thankfully although we're not sure what Aguilera will make of her laughing at her fighting attempts...

We bet Christina fights dirty, external too...

Anyway, in other album chart news Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant went in at three with Carry Fire and Beck is at five with his album Colors.

St Vincent got her first UK top 10 album with Masseducation and after the TV screening of his documentary Freedom, George Michael's Ladies and Gentlemen went back in at nine.

In the singles chart it's a third week at the top for Post Malone and 21 Savage’s Rockstar.

They managed to rack up six million streams for the first time in a single week. Camila Cabello and Young Thug’s Havana had to settle for second place for a second week.
