Bad news for anyone who was planning on heading down to Margate in September to see some music.

Organisers have announced that "a recent decrease in the saleable indoor capacity" of one of the main venues at the Dreamland site, has made it impossible for them to host the event as planned.

The festival, which last year saw The Libertines headline the final night, will apparently be back in earnest in 2019.

Classical music suffers from a "sense of entitlement" and needs to learn lessons from other, more "provocative" genres, says composer Alexis Ffrench.

Ffrench who will perform at Wednesday night's Classic Brits, external, says orchestras and musicians need to take more chances if the genre is to survive.

He cites Childish Gambino (above right) aka Donald Glover and Snoop Dogg as artists "doing daring things" that the classical world could emulate.

"I think we could perhaps borrow more from other art forms," he argues.

"Often we can be complacent - and there's a sense of entitlement about the art form, that it sits in the hierarchy above all other styles of music.

I listen to a lot of R&B and hip hop and then check out the videos. I see innovation and people pushing the envelope and doing daring things in the name of art, in a way that provokes thought. I wonder whether as classical musicians if we can do more on that front.

Thirteen year old Courtney Hadwin from Hartlepool left the judges, including Mel B, and audience opened-mouthed on the TV talent show when she pulled out a hair-swinging rendition of Otis Redding's Hard to Handle.

Stalking the stage, the hitherto nervy teen, threw herself into the classic tune like a dervish (check it out above).

"Bloody hell Courtney,” said judge Simon Cowell following the performance. “You were this shy little thing when you came out. Then you sing and you’re like a lion."

It earned her the fabled Golden buzzer which took her straight through to the live shows.

We should say at this point that she has already been a finalist on The Voice Kids UK so is no stranger to a big stage.

Clue, it's the one who hasn't shaved his whiskers.

    No?

It's Ed obviously, his new waxwork bizarrely stopped off at Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium in London on its way to Madame Tussauds.

Apparently it's a tribute to Ed's own love of cats.

Claire Treacy from MT London, told the Press Association: "We've been getting requests for a long time, literally one a week, saying, 'When are you going to add Ed?'.

"So we thought the best time to do it would be when he's on his mammoth tour and he's coming to Wembley so this felt like the perfect week."

We're just thinking out loud but we bet she was proud of that one.

Billy McFarland, the man who admitted fraud charges over a "luxury" music festival in the Bahamas which ended up resembling a scene from a refugee camp, is now facing new charges.

He is set to be sentenced this month after pleading guilty to wire fraud over the event which was indefinitely postponed after some festival-goers had already arrived, finding tents and prepackaged sandwiches, instead of the luxury villas and gourmet meals they had been promised.

The organisers are being sued by more than $100m (£75m) in damages.

Now McFarland is facing a new set of charges related to a post-Fyre Festival ticket scam.

He's accused of running a business purporting to sell tickets to events such as the Grammys, Coachella and the Met Gala.
