We're leaving - whether you like it or not.

Be safe out there. Or safer still, just stay right where you are and simply scroll down for news of Kanye/Kim's 'Family Feud', Ed Sheeran's documentary receiving a critical panning and Stormzy showing an interest in the planned Stephen Lawrence memorial.

Plus The Rolling Stones start up their first UK tour since 2006, a 13-year-old guitar wizard dazzles at the Winter Olympics closing party and Drake's new video gets its budget slashed on Jimmy Kimmel.

All that and much more besides.

Play it cool now if it's snowing where you are folks, just like the dude in Bruno Mars' favourite gif above.

See you tomorrow with another Newbie Tuesday act for you to get your ears around.

If any of you caught Nick Cave and the Bad Seed's 2017 tour then you will know it was quite something to behold.

Just ask Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream (above), who found himself in the thick of it at the end of the London leg.

If you didn't (or even if you did), fear not, as you'll get the chance again on 12 April when cinemas worldwide - for one day only - will be broadcasting the Danish stop on the tour.

Distant Sky was filmed at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena in October and you can check out the trailer below.

None other than 13-year-old guitarist Yang Tae-Hwan, who kept his cool in the icy temperatures while tackling a bit of Vivaldi's Four Seasons - Brian May-style - as the world looked on.

If classical is not your thing however, then here he is in the studio taking on a bit of Jacko.

The singer, who is currently touring his one-man show, Jason and his Amazing Midlife Crisis, has apologised to fans for being stand-offish on the grounds that he needs to rest his voice.

Mya has called on Lady Marmalade collaborators Pink, Lil' Kim and Christina Aguilera to reunite for a re-recording of the 1974 Patti LaBelle classic.

The foursome recorded their cover version 17 years ago for the Moulin Rouge soundtrack - it went on to grab the number one spot in both the UK and US, selling more than 5.2 million copies.

Perhaps you danced around your room to it.

Speaking on Canadian TV, external, Mya denied any knowledge of long-held rumours of a stand-off between Pink and Christina over who sang which part of the song.

"So it was a lot of fun. And I really hope that we can reunite and do the song.”

It got the twitter-sphere thinking - and even merited a name-check for everybody's favourite Bafta-winning bear, Paddington...

It's award ceremonies a gogo right now.

And with the Grammys, Baftas and Brits over for another year, showbiz thoughts turn to this weekend's Oscars ceremony on Sunday night.

Sufjan Stevens is nominated for best original song for Mystery of Love, from the Call Me By My Name soundtrack.

Now, in a last ditch attempt to win over the voters (we're not sure it works like that, to be fair) the singer will perform the track at the ceremony.

Check it out above, but be warned you may see a man's nipples on more than one occasion.

And head to the BBC News Entertainment page on Sunday night from around 23:15 GMT for all the action live, as it happens in LA.

Kanye, Kim, his aunt Beverly, and cousins, Jalil Peraza and Ricky Anderson, will join forces and do battle with the Kardashian-Jenners.

Rumours are rife that the normally tight Kardashian-West clan had to split up, after the Hiltons (Paris et al) pulled out of the game show at the last minute, leaving them one family down.

    *SPOILER ALERT*

Kim - never slow to social media - has suggested on her Instagram story that their side may have had the upper hand, declaring; "I played Family Feud today so I am not trying to brag but my day was definitely amazing."

Watch below as she confirms that her hubby, who has headlined Glastonbury and be-friended the US President, remember, has "waited his whole life for this"...

  17. Drake: God's Plan keeps #1 spot and now has a thrifty new parody video toopublished at 10:45 GMT 26 February 2018

Drake celebrated his fifth week at the top of the UK singles charts with latest single God's Plan, after we left you on Friday.

Last week we told you how Drizzy had given away almost $1M (that's ONE MILLION) in the music video for the track, changing people's lives with handouts of generously-sized wads of cash, while shoppers rushed to take the Canadian star up on his offer to buy their entire big shop.

Now in a new parody spoof video, US chat show host Jimmy Kimmel's colleague Guillermo has done the same - but with $100.

Only a few zeros out, but as Jimmy says: "It's not the amount that matters, it's the thought that, I think, counts the most".

    Quite right,

Watch below as shoppers are allowed to pick an item of their choice for below a dollar.

Which sadly makes pineapples, priced at $1.99, out of bounds.

Ed Sheeran shares a selfie on the red carpet at Berlin Film Festival

'Banal adventures of a bland superstar' - so runs the strapline for the Hollywood Reporter's review of the Ed Sheeran documentary, Songwriter, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival this weekend.

Directed by Sheeran's cousin - and sometime musical collaborator Murray Cummings, Songwriter looks at the unlikely success of the burnished balladeer.

Critic Stephen Dalton called it "a flaccid, ingratiating, fly-on-the-wall travelogue" that feels like "a big fat missed opportunity".

    Quote Message

With an ineptitude so thorough it borders on genius, Cummings achieves the rare feat of making Sheeran appear even more boring in person than he is on record.

    Stephen Dalton, Hollywood Reporter

"He seems a pleasant enough young man, although you might choose to make polite excuses rather than rush to spend time in his company," writes Jonathan Romney in The Guardian, who calls Songwriter an "uncritical and stylistically meat-and-potatoes study".

"The film is arguably a thoroughgoing demystification of the industrial process behind the modern pop song," he concludes. "The end credits reveal it took up to six people to write some of Sheeran’s numbers – and in the case of Galway Girl, a full nine. You have to wonder: is that the best they could come up with?"

    Ouch.

Never mind, Ed - you can always console yourself by counting your money.

  19. Stormzy 'in talks to perform at Stephen Lawrence memorial gigs'published at 09:53 GMT 26 February 2018

The London MC apparenlty met with Stephen's mother and campaigner Baroness Doreen Lawrence, after his show-stopping Brits performance last week, to discuss the possibility of performing at a memorial concert to mark 25 years since her son's death.

Eighteen-year-old Stephen was stabbed to death in an unprovoked attack by a gang of white youths while he waited at a bus stop in south-east London on 22 April 1993.

Stephen's mother and campaigner Baroness Doreen Lawrence said she'd be delighted to have the grime star involved.

“Stormzy spoke to me about getting involved. He’s amazing," she told the Daily Mirror., external

We’d like to put on a few different concerts around London rather than one single memorial.

The gigs will form part of a final year of campaigning for Doreen, who, after having set up The Stephen Lawrence Trust, external, added; “It’s time to move on."

Stormzy, who won best male and best album at last week's Brit awards, prompted a response from the government following his highly-politicised rap about the handling of the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy.

  20. Rolling Stones announce first actual UK tour in 12 yearspublished at 09:30 GMT 26 February 2018

Earlier in the month we were awash with news of old rockers bowing out of touring; Paul Simon, Elton John and Ozzy Osbourne.

    But not the Rolling Stones.

Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie are not quitters and continue to defy gravity by staying upright AND moving their fingers and feet, despite a combined age of 294.

The foursome have announced five live shows in the UK, their first tour here, outside festival appearances and one-off gigs, in 12 years.

Part two of the Stones No Filter tour sees them play two dates in London, as well as gigs in Edinburgh, Cardiff and Manchester's Old Trafford (make that football, not cricket ground).

"There's no stopping us," said Keef.

The UK/Ireland tour kicks off in Dublin's Croke Park on 17 May and concludes at Twickenham stadium on 19 June.

The band will also make stops in Berlin, Marseille, Stuttgart, Prague and Warsaw, continuing the European tour they began last year.

Each night's set list will include classics such as Satisfaction and Brown Sugar, but also "a couple of unexpected tracks and randomly selected surprises", according to the press blurb.

“When I look out at the sea of people when we play all I can see is smiles," said Ronnie. "It’s heart-warming and I’m glad we make people happy. ”

You have to hand it to them, no sign of fading away here.
