    The British beats maker told the DJ about how he's moved back from Berlin and had a second daughter since he was last in the Radio 1 studios.

    He joins the likes of Celine Dion and Diplo in offering up his performance fee to help the victims of the attacks that killed 58 people and injured more than 500.

    The Scottish DJ posted the below image of him DJ'ing in Vegas alongside the following heartfelt message:

    There's only one Shaq! Make no mistake about it.

    Viral sensation Roadman Shaq may be sweating now that 7ft 1ins former NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal has aimed a diss track in his direction.

    Shaquille has teamed up with Toronto MC ShaqIsDope after seemingly taking offence at Roadman Shaq calling himself "Big Shaq".

    "There's a lot of people who are named after me. Shaquille. Shaq. But keep in mind, there's only one Big Shaq," he raps.

    "It is I, the originator, the dominator, the creator. Don't you ever call your name Big Shaq."

    The man behind such musicals as Phantom of the Operah and Cats has quit as a Conservative peer.

    Lloyd Webber was given a peerage 20 years ago but says his busy schedule, which involves frequent trips to the States, will no longer allow him to continue working in the the House of Lords.

    In a letter sent to the Conservative chief whip, Lloyd Webber said he was currently in the busiest period of his career.

    The 69-year-old, who can now dodge the big Brexit vote, wrote:

    I have been privileged to be a member of the house for 20 years and resign with a heavy heart, but in the knowledge that what is expected from a member today is very different from what it was when I joined the house in 1997.

    “I have a work schedule stretching ahead of me that is the busiest of my career to date. This means it would be impossible for me to regularly vote or properly consider the vitally important issues that the House of Lords will face as a consequence of Brexit."

    If you love the music of Rihanna, now you'll be able to make a pilgrimage to Rihanna Drive to listen to it.

    Westbury New Road in St. Michael, where the singer grew up in Barbados, is to be renamed Rihanna Drive.

    "The Government of Barbados will on Independence Day, Thursday 30th November, 2017 officially change the name of Westbury New Road located in St. Michael to Rihanna Drive in honour of Barbadian superstar Ms. Robyn Rihanna Fenty who grew up in Westbury New Road," said the Ministry of Tourism in a detailed statement.

    Congrats Rhi Rhi but lets have some fun now, what would you call the street? So far our best in the office is We Found Love In A Hopeless Place or Shut Up and Drive.

    Not content with the 'most popular one' in One Direction, young Mr Styles is now taking credit for naming the group.

    "I think it was me," he told American news show CBS Sunday Morning.

    "I thought it sounded good," he continued.

    "We threw around names for a little bit, and I honestly don't know. I suggested it and everyone was like 'Yeah we like that' and then it kind of stuck, and that was what it was."

    Well, now Morrissey has shared the video for his track Spent the Day in bed which starts with the controversial (and currently banned) footballer pushing the controversial former Smiths frontman around what looks like a working men's club in a wheelchair.

    Apparently it was filmed at the 142 year-old Peckham Liberal Club in London.

    Conceptually, we're not entirely sure what he's going for here but it's not something you see very often which should be a prerequisite for any music video.

    It's from his new album Low in High School which is due out on 17 November.

    Singer Marc Almond has 'apologised' for swearing at a number of people "talking loudly" during one of his shows.

    As reported by the Ipswich Star, external, the outburst happened on Saturday when his Shadows and Reflections Tour arrived at the town's Regent venue.

    The outburst is understood to have been directed towards a man and a woman in the front row and that he repeatedly swore at the pair.

    The singer said sorry for the bad lingo on social media but seemed to generally stand by his decision, adding that "they have no respect for me or others".

    BBC Radio Suffolk presenter Stephen Foster was at the show and revealed how the episode unfolded after about half an hour.

    Foster said: "I was a way away from the front and I did not hear the people talking, so when he started swearing it was surprising, it was shocking. It got pretty nasty.

    "Some of the audience, mainly his diehard fans, started applauding when he did it."

    He added: "But I got the impression that it was the main thing people were talking about when they left the Regent."

  15. Jessie Ware releases new track co-written by Ed Sheeranpublished at 11:41 BST 17 October 2017

    So poor Ed broke his arm yesterday in a bike accident.

    Luckily for him and Jessie Ware, this unfortunate event happened after the pair had recorded their latest co-written track called Sam.

    The track will appear on Jessie's third album Glasshouse which is out on Friday but you can hear the song in all the usual places now, meaning Ed can easily sling along - sorry - sing along at home now while recovering.

    In fact, here's a short clip, external.

    The new album is the follow up to her 2014 album Tough Love, which featured another Ed co-write Say You Love Me, external.

    The nominees for this year's MOBO awards have been announced, with Stormzy, Sampha and Skepta all up for best male act.

    The list above was announced earlier by London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

    Stormzy's debut album Gangs, Signs & Prayer went to number one, while Sampha's album Process won the Mercury Prize.

    The event, which celebrates the best in urban music, will return to Leeds' First Direct Arena on 29 November.

    Tom Petty - who died earlier this month - has been laid to rest in a private ceremony in California, at the Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades.

    His daughter, artist Annakim posted some pictures from the service, with one captioned: "This is very hard for me💜" while another says: "Today sucked👽🎥"

    The rocker died aged 67, following a cardiac arrest at his home.

    "We care about each other and love our bad a** father," messaged AnnaKim.

    She is also on top of the chart in this week's midweek figures.

    The singer-songwriter's seventh studio album has sold around 50,000 copies at the halfway stage of the week and is on course to be her second number one album in the UK, following 2008's Funhouse.

    Yesterday, we told you how Icelandic alt-pop legend Bjork had claimed she was sexually harassed by a Danish film director during her early career as an actress.

    She didn't actually name the man in question but many identified him as filmmaker Lars Von Trier on who directed her in Dancer In The Dark.

    The film earned her best actress at the Cannes Film Festival in 2000 while the film won the coveted Palme d'Or for best film.

    Lars has told Danish newspaper Jylannds Posten, external that Björk’s side of events “were not the case”, adding she "delivered one of the greatest performances” of any of his films.

    Von Trier’s co-producer Peter Aalbaek Jensen has arguably misjudged the tone of the ongoing harassment conversation, by apparently joking: “As far as I remember, we were victims.

    "That woman was stronger than both Lars Von Trier and me and our company together.”
