He might be in the middle of a musical comeback but that hasn't stopped Snoop Dogg landing a new TV job - co-hosting a new Come Dine With Me-style show alongside US lifestyle guru Martha Stewart.
The weekly VH1 series, external - working title Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party - will see the pair invite their celebrity friends over for cocktails, cooking and conversation.
“My homegirl, Martha and I have a special bond that goes back," says Snoop, who's appeared on TV with Stewart several times, including for Justin Bieber's Comedy Central Roast.
"We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”
Steve Mason 'invites aliens to earth' with new musical projectpublished at 15:22 BST 8 August 2016

Steve Mason has revealed his new musical side project Alien Stadium - a collaboration with Primal Scream's Martin Duffy - is a concept album all about the pair "inviting aliens to planet Earth."
The former Beta Band singer-turned-Mercury Prize-nominated artist was a guest on Mary Anne Hobbs' 6 Music show at the weekend, where he also talked about moving to Brighton and being "genuinely happy" for the first time.

Dean Martin's son Ricci dies aged 62published at 15:14 BST 8 August 2016

Ricci Martin, the musician son of Dean Martin, has died aged 62.
The singer died at his home in Utah, his family announced at the weekend.
The youngest son of entertainment legend Dean Martin, Ricci joined the band Dino in 1990 and performed a touring tribute show to his father.
In 2002, he wrote a memoir, That's Amore, about growing up as a member of the famous family.
The cause of death has not been revealed.
Concertgoers injured at Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa gigpublished at 14:57 BST 8 August 2016
More than 40 music fans were reportedly treated for minor injuries when a railing collapsed at a Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa gig in New Jersey.
The concert was apparently stopped, external after the accident happened. It was caught on film by someone in the audience...

The organisers of the Edinburgh International Festival have shared the complete video of the opening event - Deep Time - which was scored by Mogwai.
The piece - which featured images projected on to the side of Edinburgh Castle - was a tribute to pioneering Scottish scientist James Hutton.
And it looks very, very cool.

Idina Menzel announces new albumpublished at 14:23 BST 8 August 2016
Idina Menzel, known to millions as the voice of Frozen's Elsa, is releasing a new album on 23 September.
It's her first original studio album since I Stand in 2008, with the first single I See You, external is out now.
The Tony Award-winning singer made the announcement during a Facebook Live, external performance from a New York rooftop, telling fans "I just want to say thank you for being so supportive all these years."
She revealed idina was "a really personal album."
"I've had a crazy couple of years, some good stuff, some bad stuff," she said.
"And I got in a studio with some of the most amazing people, songwriters, producers, and poured my heart out, and used my music as a place to really figure some things out."

Prince estate denies plans to sell homepublished at 12:20 BST 8 August 2016

The administrator of Prince's estate has denied reports it is planning to sell Paisley Park, the late star's former home and recording studio complex.
A court filing on Friday had included the property among a list of assets that could be sold.
But the Bremer Trust issued a statement on Saturday saying it "has no plans" to offload Paisley Park.
It added that the "Purple Rain house" - which featured in the career-making film of the same name - was also safe.

The Maccabees 'call it a day'published at 12:06 BST 8 August 2016
The Maccabees have announced they're splitting up after 14 years together.
The London band, who recently headlined Latitude Festival, broke the news with a message to their fans on Twitter - triggering an onslaught of heartbreak and weeping face emojis - saying they'd made the "incredibly difficult" decision to "call it a day".
They released four albums, including 2012's Mercury Prize-nominated Given to the Wild.
"We are very proud to be able to go out on our own terms, at our creative peak and off the back of the best and biggest shows we have ever done," they said.
The band added there will be some "farewell celebration shows announced in the near future".

Muppets performance 'changed my life'published at 11:55 BST 8 August 2016
As we mentioned earlier, The Muppet Show's house band made their first-ever festival appearance over the weekend, at San Francisco's Outside Lands festival.
"I was there," Ian Hughes told the BBC, "and it might just have changed my life. They were almost embarrassingly brilliant.
"Over three days of Outside Lands, there was nothing (as far as I saw) that matched the reaction to Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.
"I don't think anyone was expecting something as spectacularly fun as that. It was as clever and hilarious a performance as you'd expect from The Muppets."

'Superfans' keep UK festivals goingpublished at 11:05 BST 8 August 2016

If you ever feel like you bump into the same old people at festivals, you could have a point - new research reckons it's a core group of "superfans" that are keeping the UK's music festivals afloat, by attending four or more events every year.
The survey found they spend an average of £581 a year on music festivals, often opting for VIP passes or upgraded camping options.
Ticketing website Eventbrite, which commissioned the poll, reckons these "superfans" even help promote the festivals and bands they've seen, by recommending them to their pals.
We like to call them "secondary superfans".

Britney unveils second take of new video Make Me...published at 10:43 BST 8 August 2016
Britney Spears has unveiled her latest video for Make Me..., her track with G-Eazy.
The video starts (and continues) with a bit of am-dram, as Britney and her girlfriends persuade a young lad to bring his mates to audition for them (for exactly what we're not sure).
It's the singer's second attempt at a video for the song, after she rejected the first draft by director David Chappelle.
According to TMZ, external's various sources, it was either because it was "too sexy" or "pointless with no story line" - we dread to think.

Nowadays, a slight inconvenience... like being dead... doesn't mean an artist can't play a music festival.
Following 2 Pac, Michael Jackson and even Whitney Houston, the late rock singer Ronnie James Dio is the latest singer to undergo the hologram treatment to close the Wacken metal festival in Germany.
Dio, who died of cancer in 2010, appeared to perform alongside his former bandmates at the weekend.

"I cried the first time I saw it," the singer's widow, Wendy Dio, told Rolling Stone.
"It was quite, quite scary. Our crew, when they first saw it at rehearsal, they were in tears. It's absolutely amazing."
There is now talk of putting the hologram of Dio out on tour. No rest for the wicked...

It takes a special band to stand out in a line-up which includes Radiohead, Foals, LCD Soundsystem and The Last Shadow Puppets.
Luckily, the first ever festival appearance of Dr Teeth & The Electric Mayhem from The Muppet Show generated enough excitement to warrant their inclusion on the bill at San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival.
The Muppets’ Dr Teeth, Animal, Janice, Floyd Pepper, Zoot and Lips played covers of Mowgli’s’ San Francisco, Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros’ track Home and even closed with a rendition of The Beatles’ classic With A Little Help From My Friends with the Oakland Tabernacle Choir.
