    Okay that's Monday's MNL done.

Scroll down to find out exactly why Gaga has postponed her tour and why U2 and Ed Sheeran cancelled their gigs in America too.

There's a new music video from Bjork that will send you into a trance and also news of Ryan Adams putting himself forward for the role of "cyborg fish and chip shop owner" in Coronation Street. Honestly.

Good luck to anyone starting their University Freshers Week. Playing us out today (above) are a pair of rock 'n' roll professors, who delivered a joint lesson in how to smash a stadium gig at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday night.

We can definitely all learn a thing or two from these guys.

Gary Numan (l) and Steve Lamacq

So Ringo wasn't the only British musical icon to release a new album on Friday (scroll down for more on that).

Gary Numan's latest effort Savage (Songs from a Broken World) arrived into the actual world in time for the weekend.

He told 6 Music's Steve Lamacq how a happy life led him to delve into a post global warming apocalyptic world on the record.

He said: "Normally I write things about the most recent personal crisis. But with this one - I didn't have one!

"Life's pretty good. So I thought 'what to write about?' I've got no problems...so I'll invent a crisis and write about that."

Two strikes - not three - and you're out. That's the rule with Tyler, the Creator it seems.

The US rapper (below) has explained that he originally wrote a song called See You Again for former One Direction star Zayn Malik (above).

However he claims Zayn "flaked on studio time twice" so he kept the song for himself.

The track appears on the rapper's latest album, Flower Boy, and features vocals performed by Kali Uchis.

Could've been glorious, now I guess we'll never know.

    Well you'd better be.

The American rockers, who have opened their own pop up pub in London to mark the release of their new album Concrete & Gold have also joined Londoner James Corden in his car for a singalong.

The feature will air this week on The Late Late show.

Given that Justin Timberlake appears on the new record, will we see Dave and the gang go full pop? Or will they keep on rocking in the free world?

We'll find out in the coming days.

The band play London's O2 Arena on Tuesday and the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday to help mark Jools Holland's 51st series (scroll down).

The band's new album is also heading for this week's number one, currently outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined.

That makes it all but certain to earn the group their fourth chart topper in the UK.

Way to go Dave (and band...)

Sam Smith's new single Too Good at Goodbyes went straight in at numer one after we left you on Friday.

It means that Sam joins a list of stars including Sir Rod Stewart, Queen, Britney Spears and Justin Bieber in having had six number ones.

In fact only six men have had more UK chart-toppers; namely Sir Cliff Richard, Calvin Harris, George Michael, Elton John, Tinie Tempah and Robbie Williams.

Check out the track and his brand new video below.

In keeping with the laugh-riot theme of his song, it features lots of Sam staring meaningfully at the camera or wistfully off into the middle distance.

Now, for one of the more bizarre music stories of the day.

What do US rock stars do during their downtime on a UK tour? Watch Corrie of course.

Country blues rocker Ryan Adams has been doing exactly that in hotel rooms up and down the country. It set his mind wandering into potential acting roles on the show and he asked fans online who could "hook me up".

Now following an amusing online exchange between the singer and the show itself, Ryan tweeted to announce that he will in fact play a "time traveling cyborg fish and chips shop owner".

He may have jumped the gun slightly though as the idea is yet to get past the show's bosses. But things look promising...

Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino has teased that he's lining up work on a new mixtape with Chance the Rapper.

The rapper/comedian made history last night as the first black person to win an Emmy for directing a comedy show. The 33-year-old picked up gongs for directing and playing the lead acting role in his comedy series Atlanta.

When asked about his music, backstage in the winners' room, he said: "I don't ever want to do anything because I'm forced to. I think once you start to do that things start to get bad and you jump the shark.

"Also I feel like if I don’t make a Chance the Rapper mixtape, like a double mixtape, a bunch of 14-year-olds will kick my ass."

He added: "I feel like I've got to do something, I probably will."

    Stay tuned folks.

Another lady who knows all about the demands of touring is Madonna.

Madge spoke to BBC Music reporter Mark Savage on the phone on Friday (not a call you want to miss) and she told him about her desire to "reinvent pop tours".

Twenty-seven years ago, she set the template for modern pop concerts with her Blond Ambition world tour and now it seems she's ready for the next phase.

"I've done so many shows - world tours, stadiums, sports arenas, you name it - that I feel like I have to reinvent that now too", she explained.

The 59-year-old's Tears of a Clown show - which combined music and storytelling - could be the template for her next tour.
