Poor Liam Gallagher, he ended his triumphant return to Reading and Leeds Festival as a solo artist with someone nicking his sunglasses from his dressing room.

They must have been his spares as he was wearing a pair on stage but he was not happy at all - his tweet was so rude we can't print it here.

And it's not the only time opportunist clothing and accessory thieves have struck poor Liam.

He sent a similarly sweary tweet after someone stole his parkas (plural) from his hotel room when he was playing Glastonbury.

Whoever you are, if you're ready to return the items we're sure he'll go easy(ish) on you.

A new documentary about Bob Dylan is to premiere at this year's New York Film Festival.

The hour-long Trouble No More uses newly restored lost footage from the singer's 1979/80 tour in support of his Slow Train Coming album.

Director Jennifer Lebeau has previously produced music documentaries on artists ranging from Marc Anthony to Tony Bennett.

Back to the House of Common festival now and we had a chat with Suggs from the festival's headliners and curators Madness.

The line-up drew from the band's love of reggae with Dawn Penn, Desmond Dekker's band and Skalites performing but also featured hip hop legends De La Soul and grime newcomer Nadia Rose (pictured below).

Suggs said part of the joy of curating an event like this (now in its second year) was sharing the band's influences.

"Although we were seven white kids from north London, our tastes were always very eclectic and anyone but an idiot would know that reggae and ska were very important to us so the culture of black music was very important to us and it's a great opportunity to share things that we've loved and have grown up with."

While the music styles differ, he saw parallels between grime and the ska and punk scene of the 1970s from which Madness emerged.

AC/DC's Brian Johnson made a return to live performing at the weekend when he joined Muse on stage at the Reading Festival and sang Back in Black.

He had to pull out of touring last year after doctors warned him he could go permanently deaf if he carried on.

Johnson told the crowd he'd had "so much fun" before Muse's Matt Bellamy jumped on him for a massive bear hug.

We think we know what Serge from Kasabian will be doing tonight - watching his mate Noel Fielding make his debut on The Great British Bake Off.

Rock (cakes) and (arctic) roll...

Noel appeared on stage during Kasabian's performance of Vlad the Impaler at Reading Festival where he grabbed the mic and said, "I also present a cake show".

Serge reckons he'll be a great asset to the baking show saying he can "only see it being great".

"I don't know what people are expecting him to do, but all I can say is that he's one of the most beautiful souls I've ever met.

"He's kind, generous, super-intelligent and really charming."

Frankly, we can't even begin to try and understand or explain what's going on here.

The song is ace however.

The fans went wild for the reunion of Will Smith (aka the Fresh Prince) and DJ Jazzy Jeff who played their first ever UK gig at the weekend in Blackpool.

Lets just recap that one... THEIR FIRST EVER UK GIG IN BLACKPOOL!!

Very impressive booking there from the Livewire Festival team we doff our hats to you.

They topped the momentousness of the night by debuting a new song Get Lit - their first track together since the 90s.

After her eye popping performance at the MTV VMAs in 2013 and her show-stealing 2015 hosting duties, Miley Cyrus promised her dad Billy Ray she would tone down her performance this year.

So instead of grinding on Robin Thicke, she performed with a group of biker tiny tots and elderly rockers.

Daddy clearly approved of her performance.

It was a family affair as her sister Noah also performed her track Make Me (Cry)

P!nk celebrated her vanguard award with a medley of her hits including Get The Party Started, Raise Your Glass, So What, Just Give Me a Reason and Perfect.

She managed to wangle a flying car and quad bike for her roving performance - she even managed to high five her daughter who watched from the edge of the stage.

One more peformance worth watching is DNCE teaming up with Rod Stewart to perform his track Do Ya Think I'm Sexy. Rod looks like he's having a blast.

Still not loving Joe Jonas' 'tache.

Beyonce has pledged to help victims of Hurricane Harvey in her hometown of Houston.

She posted on Instagram (above) "Texas you are in my prayers" and in a statement, external to her local paper, the Houston Chronicle, she said she and her charitable foundation BeyGOOD hoped to help "as many people as we can" who are caught up in the terrible floods.

The paper reports Drake, Chris Young and Lady Antebellum have also dedicated money and resources to Hurricane Harvey victims.

The amount of money Beyonce is donating hasn't been made public but there's speculation its $7m (£5.4m). Nice one.

The Killers guitarist Dave Keuning has announced he is taking a break from touring with the band to spend more time with his family.

But he'll still remain a member of the band as explained by the band in a post on Twitter where they assure fans "The Killers are the same four weirdos we've always been".

"We respect his decision, just as we respected Mark's decision to go back to college," they say referring to bassist Mark Stoermer, who quit performing live with the band to go back to college.

However, he did perform with them at Glastonbury.

Both members will feature on The Killers' fifth album Wonderful Wonderful which is out next month.

Madness held their one day festival at Clapham Common on Bank Holiday Monday... or just Monday if you're in Scotland.

The diverse line-up included the likes of Soul II Soul, De La Soul, Nadia Rose and Kent punk duo Slaves - who played a face melting set to an audience of 'Madheads' sweltering in the late August sunshine.

Speaking after the gig guitarist Laurie said: "It was nice playing to the Madheads because I think a lot of them didn't know what to think but I saw some of them like physically become coverted halfway through, which I enjoyed."

The band released their second album Take Control in September and revealed to Music News LIVE that they're heading into the studio to record the follow up this week.

"We're raring to go, official statement we start to record in two days, we're gonna do four days in the studio and get on it. I was going through our demos earlier and it's really quickly built up and we've got about 20 songs, all in various states of how written they are but I'm really excited.

"Because we've been touring so much, it's hard and you put pressure on yourself and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but I'm confident you'll hear new music soon."

The band are due to support Kasabian on their European arena tour in the autumn.

Much of the Slaves' appeal, similarly with bands like Royal Blood and White Stripes, is the fact that there are just two members on stage - in Slaves' case, Laurie and drummer and singer Isaac.

He added he hoped to recreate the power of their live show on record.

"I think on the second album, we messed around with the set up a bit more but I'm tempted to do a whole album just guitar and drums start to finish.

"We've dabbled in things, we've done our long self-indulgent album that we really like but its time to come back and refine what it all is."

We'll have more from the House of Common Festival in a bit and just for Laurie....

Another act following Lorde's belief that the show must go on is Kasabian.

We told you last week how Kasabian had to cancel their Belfast gig at the last minute after frontman Tom suddenly couldn't stop vomiting. Well, thankfully he'd recovered enough to perform at Reading and Leeds Festival at the weekend.

Their set was so good Radio 4 (yes Radio 4 the highbrow speech station) tweeted that everyone should check out their set.

Coldplay have written a musical tribute to Houston after they were forced to postpone their gig last week due to Hurricane Harvey.

Chris and the lads performed the song at their gig at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium on Monday night.

"This is because we all grew up loving country music, and of course that's kind of what we think of when we go to Texas," he told the audience.

"This is a new song and we'll never play this again. It's a one off and it's called Houston.

Anyway, the soundtrack to the second biggest box office hit of all time, has come top of a list of the best-selling classical albums of the past 25 years, selling more than a million copies in the UK.

It was named top of the Ultimate Classic FM Chart, the biggest countdown of classical music sales.

The sound's composer James Horner died in 2015.

British singer Russell Watson claimed the second and third slots on the list with albums The Voice and Encore.

He's also the most popular male artist, with almost 2.5 million album sales.

Trouper of the weekend has to be Lorde who performed at the MTV VMAs despite suffering from the flu. She revealed on Twitter she was so sick she had to have an IV just to get her on stage.

It explains why she didn't actually sing her track Homemade Dynamite on stage but managed to dance along to the song in a shiny dress but still wearing her comfy trackie bottoms and trainers.

She does look a bit peaky.

She didn't make it along to the VMAs despite winning an award for best collaboration for her track with Zayn I Don't Wanna Live Forever - but instead Taylor shared the premiere of a hard-edged video for her new single Look What You Made Me Do.

The song set a first day global record on Spotify of more than eight million streams and broke YouTube's one-day streaming record.

It received 28 million views in 24 hours, overtaking Adele's Hello.

The video, which includes apparent digs at Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, ex's Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston and Katy Perry.

We're not sure but we think she's probably having a pop at us in there somewhere too. We feel a little left out if not...

That's Ed Sheeran with his artist of the year trophy, Pink took home the Video Vanguard award ( a bit like a lifetime achievement award), Alessia Cara looking very happy with her win for best dance for Stay, her collaboration with Zedd; and Khalid looks like he was in love with his award for best new artist.

There was quite a lot of politics on show as well as the music, with protests against white supremacy and suicide awareness messages.

Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto paid tribute to Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell who both took their own lives this year.

Fans of grime star Giggs were given an extra treat at the weekend when he brought Canadian rap superstar Drake on stage during his performance at Reading Festival.

He was one of several surprise guests over the weekend which also saw a 'secret set' by Queens of the Stone Age at Reading and its sister events in Leeds.

Though, last week, singer John Homme gave a pretty implausible denial the band were playing.
