    That is it.

Like Dua Lipa (above), today's music news will soon vanish into a puff of smoke.

Before it does, scroll down to get some excellent last minute Hallowe'en costume ideas from the likes of Beyonce, Jay-Z and Matt Helders. Frank Ocean scrubs up well too at his big 30th bash and Camila is looking good for a #1 finish this week.

Plus there's new music from Skepta, lots of early festival news and find out why Liam and Ed are heading for the couch.

Magicians never reveal their sources though, so you'll have to take our word for it.

Just time to say a big happy 54th birthday to guitar wizard Johnny Marr and we'll see you on the other side.

    Happy haunting.

  2. This is the Hottest Record in the world right now...published at 15:45 GMT 31 October 2017

    BBC Radio 1

So why not give it a listen?

It's by Bedford alt rockers Don Broco and it's a "breakup song" called T-Shirt Song.

You know that feeling when you're swinging your T-shirt around your head to the Baywatch theme tune in a moment of great catharsis?

    Yeah that.

Check out the full story of the song - which starts at around 3.50 - above.

  3. Stormzy recalls 'one of the most nervous nights of my life'published at 15:40 GMT 31 October 2017

    BBC Radio 1

Grime star Stormzy popped into the Radio 1 studios for a chat with new-found boxing fan Nick Grimshaw yesterday.

Grimmy went to Cardiff to see Anthony Joshua defend his WBA and IBF world heavyweight titles by beating Carlos Takam with a controversial 10th-round stoppage. The rapper loves his boxing too and describes it - rather eloquently - as being "like a football match in a nightclub".

Listen above as he recalls the nerve-wracking time he provided the ring walk-in music for Joshua back in 2015, appearing on live TV for the first time in the process.

  4. Bon Iver to reissue For Emma, Forever Agopublished at 15:37 GMT 31 October 2017

    Bon IverImage source, Getty Images

Justin Vernon has announced a reissue of the first Bon Iver album, For Emma, Forever Ago, in honour of its 10th anniversary.

One of the all-time great break-up albums, it was written in isolation, after Vernon retreated to a cabin in rural Wisconsin and spent the winter chopping wood, growing his beard, and writing laments including the emotionally compelling Skinny Love.

The reissue will feature new artwork and an in-depth essay by Bon Iver collaborator, Trever Hagen. There are more details on the official Bon Iver site, external.

Vernon has also announced an anniversary show for the album on 17 February in Milwaukee which he promises will be a "one of a kind set featuring guests of old and new".

Okay the working day is nearly done, let's have some Hallowe'en fun shall we, courtesy of the good people at 6 Music.

What is your goth band name?

Well it's simply "The", plus the last word of the final text message that anybody sent you, then "of" into the title of the first single you bought.

We'll go first: The Birthday of Bat out of Hell.

Fun for the whole family tonight while you're bobbing for apples.

The Last Ship is inspired by Sting's childhood growing up in Wallsend.

It stars his close pal Jimmy Nail - who was in the Broadway production, which closed early after three months in 2015.

Now a new version of the production is to premiere at the city's Northern Stage theatre.

The 66-year-old has been telling BBC arts reporter Sharuna Sagar all about how you don't need to be a Geordie to get what's going on...although it probably helps.

Frank Ocean celebrated his big 3-0 this weekend by hosting a 'Paris Is Burning'-themed party, after the 1990 documentary of the same name which chronicles the 'golden age' of New York’s drag parties.

Earlier we saw how well pop/rap stars Bey and Jay play dress up (and we've got a fancy looking Frank Ocean to come yet peeps...), now we can bring you some of rock 'n' roll's most haunting Hallowe'en efforts from this year.

The likes of Romy from The xx and Jehnny Beth from Savages have posted images of themselves at a frightening-looking bash - somewhere else in LA - alongside a brilliantly fake-bearded QOTSA frontman Josh Homme.

Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders even rocked up, see?

    Image caption,

Pet Shop Boys headlined Bestival this year

More festival news now (scroll down for word from V and All Points East).

It seems that festi' season has been put on shuffle for 2018. Glastonbury is off; V has lost its sponsor; Radio 1's Big Weekend is expanding and now Bestival is moving...

Traditionally placed at the tail end of the season, the event is moving to the heart of the summer and will take place on 2-5 August, 2018.

That's probably for the best - after high winds resulted in the event being temporarily evacuated this September.

One of the most eye-catching festivals in the UK, Bestival always has a theme - and next year the whole event will turn into a giant carnival.

"Yes fellow Bestivalites it’s time to run away and join the Circus," said organiser / ringmaster Rob Da Bank in a statement.

"Bearded freaks, insane acrobats, high wire daredevils, mutant jugglers and an out of control ringmaster all eager for you to join the most colourful show on earth await!"

Eight years after his death, Michael Jackson is still earning millions of dollars.

According to Forbes' annual list of top-earning dead celebrities, the star's estate made $75 million (£57 million) last year thanks to a new greatest hits album, Cirque du Soleil show and part-ownership of the EMI music catalogue.

Elvis Presley was the fourth highest-earning celebrity, with $35 million, followed by Bob Marley, who ranked fifth with $23 million.

The other places in the top five were taken by non-musicians. Golf legend Arnold Palmer was the second-highest earner, with a fortune built upon an iced tea drink bearing his name.

Charlie Brown creator Charles Schulz took third place, after making $38 million last year.

Bey and Jay dressed as New York rappers Lil' Kim and the late Notorious B.I.G. as they attended a seasonal Hollywood bash hosted by former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland (above, far right).

*Warning: This post contains a very early festive feel.

Pop star Sia has unwrapped a bubbly new single, Santa's Coming For Us, which is the first taste of her new album, Everything Is Christmas.

"Nights are getting shorter / Hot chocolate fills the air," she sings, improbably; before the sleigh bells rattle and she serenades the "deer in the sky as they jingle, jingle, jingle tonight".

It's a mess, lyrically but the song's so infectiously joyous that you'll forget all about it.

Just try not to mis-type the title like we did earlier. Satan's Coming For Us is a much darker song than the one Sia intended.

    V FestivalImage source, Getty Images

Yesterday we left you with the news that Virgin was ending its 22 year sponsorship of the V Festival.

But that doesn't spell the end of the event. Festival Republic MD Melvin Benn has confirmed to Music Week that the festival will continue at the same two sites in Chelmsford and Staffordshire on the same weekend, just under a new name.

Plans are also in place to expand the festival to a three-day event.

Benn said: "The festivals will continue, we have the announcement later in November of the replacement name.

“We are looking forward to the new festival now, it’s just something that we are incredibly excited about.”

Perhaps they'll do it in alphabetical order like tropical storms, although the W Festival doesn't have the same ring to it.

Camila Cabello's Havana has been sitting patiently at number two for the last three weeks, while Post Malone's Rock Star dominated the top of the charts.

But, according to the latest chart update, she's finally about to overtake the US rapper and score her first number one.

Havana is currently in the lead by 3,500 downloads and streams. It’s the first time the song has taken the lead in the midweek charts.

While we can't fault her chart efforts it seems Camilla however has put little thought into this year's Hallowe'en costume...
