Haringey Council in Londin has given promoter Live Nation permission to continue holding the Wireless Festival in Finsbury Park following a licensing review - however artists will be "encouraged" not to swear.

Hmm, good luck with that!

Campaigners had commissioned a survey which showed last year's festival had exceeded sound limits.

Complaints around drug taking and dealing in the area and other anti-social behaviour were also raised by the Friends of Finsbury Park group which brought forward the licensing review, external.

Councillors on the licensing committee agreed some licensing objectives had been undermined, but decided to amend conditions rather than revoke it altogether.

The last day of the festival will now finish 30 minutes earlier at 21:30 BST, just in time for our bed time.

Swear words will be discouraged and new sound level limits and monitoring will be put in place.

Who said a wholesome Wireless wasn't a fun Wireless?

BTS frontman RM (aka Kim Namjoon) surprised his fans with the announcement of a solo mixtape, Mono, and the internet went a bit wild.

And by wild we mean that within minutes of release, multiple hashtags relating to the mixtape took over Twitter's worldwide trends, and the mixtape topped the iTunes album chart in 86 countries, including the US.

Major, right?

The mixtape features RM singing and rapping.

It features melancholy lyrics like:

I hope it rains all day/ 'Cause then the umbrella could cover the sad face and ’cause in the rain people are busy minding themselves.

Taylor Swift has donated $15,500 (£11,900) to a fan whose mother has been in a coma for the past three years.

"She had an ulcer that bled out that led to lack of oxygen to the brain which resulted in brain damage,” 19-year-old Sadie wrote in a note on Twitter earlier this month.

"I’m sorry I never said anything sooner and that I’m suddenly asking for help. I love you guys so much."

"I'm grateful to Taylor['s music] for keeping me afloat through it all," she added.

After seeing Sadie's message, Taylor donated to her GoFundMe campaign, external, signing it "Love, Taylor, [and her cats] Meredith and Olivia Swift."

Canadian rapper/freeskier Jon James McMurray has died after a stunt that involved him walking on the wing of a plane went wrong.

The Calgary-born 34-year-old, who fell to his death in British Columbia on Saturday, was described by his management team as a "beacon of light to follow your dreams."

In a statement they said that the musician/athlete had trained "intensively" for the stunt.

"However, as Jon got further out onto the wing of the plane," they explained, "it caused the small Cessna to go into a downward spiral that the pilot couldn't correct."

"Jon held onto the wing until it was too late, and by the time he let go, he didn't have time to pull his [para]chute.

"He impacted and died instantly."

They added that the plane and the pilot later landed safely.

Earlier this month, McMurray posted the below video of him rapping and performing a variety of other stunts.

Kanye West has donated $73,540 (around £56,000) to a woman who is running to be mayor of his home city of Chicago.

Amara Enyia is running for office in February 2019 - and has also had the backing of Chance the Rapper.

The money is the exact amount she needed to pay off a debt owed to the Illinois State Board of Elections from her previous mayoral bid in 2015.

In a statement, Ms Enyia's campaign team thanked Kanye for his "generous action".

His donation comes 11 days after he met President Trump at the White House, where the pair discussed prison reform and other political issues over lunch.

This summer's festival fields have barely been tidied and now we're already on to one of the first major announcements for next year,

Hard rock/metal fest Download has announced that Slipknot, Tool and Def Leppard will headline next year's event, with the latter performing their 1987 album Hysteria in full.

Also on the bill will be Slash - of Guns N' Roses fame, featuring Miles Kennedy, Whitesnake, Rob Zombie, Die Antwoord and Skindred.

It all takes place at what the organisers are calling "the spiritual home of rock" in Donington Park, Leicestershire on 14-16 June 2019.

Tickets are on sale from Thursday afternoon.

Ian's band The Stone Roses marked their first new music in more than 20 years in similar fashion in 2016, by posting pictures of their trademark lemons across the city.

A full album was rumoured at the time but never materialised.

Brown's last solo LP came in the form of 2009's My Way.

Phew! Maybe we all need a bit of Cardi B's ASMR video to calm us down after this new NIN live video's frenetic energy.

The black and white vid is filmed from a first-person vantage point during one of the band's live shows.

NIN and the Jesus and Mary Chain launched their joint tour in mid-September which has been extended to include a headlining 19 November concert in Mexico City.

For any young UK artist, a full blown US tour would be something of a big break.

Sadly for Yungblud - aka Dominic Harrison - a few weeks back, it turned out to be literally that too.

The excitable 20-year-old Doncaster rocker/rapper suffered an ankle break during a recent gig in Houston.

With an even bigger opportunity to shine waiting for him at Austin City Limits festival the very next night, the cast-bound Dom decided, against medical advice, to carry on regardless.

Or as it's become known in modern rock 'n' roll terms: 'Doing a Dave Grohl.'

Dom takes up the story: "I was on stage playing a show in Houston and all the crowds on this tour have been so crazy in the US," he said.

"So me being me, Dom being Dom, I got a little over excited jumped about too hard, landed on my mic stand and rolled my ankle.

"When the doctor said to me he thinks I should pull the rest of the tour my first answer was: 'There is no way, we need to figure this out.'

The singer, who has been supported by BBC Music Introducing in West Yorkshire and played the Introducing Stage at Radio 1's Biggest Weekend in Swansea this summer, adds: "Obviously I want to get better as soon as possible.

"I’m being smart and resting, but there is no chance I’m letting my fans down. They come first."

The genre-bending Yorkshireman released his debut album, 21st Century Liability, in June.

It draws heavily on the early sound of local guitar heroes the Arctic Monkeys, as well as some of his favourite hip hop stars like Eminem and Post Malone.

Tracks like Psychotic Kids, Polygraph Eyes and lead single Medication see him address a broad range of topical political, social and personal issues including government control, sexual assault and drug abuse.

All of which delivered in a fairly frenzied manner.

His latest video for Kill Somebody was released this afternoon but it's a little too graphic for Music News LIVE, so we'll let you find that one for yourselves.

While shock is very much part of his appeal, Dom says the new music video is actually an honest account of a "a pretty dark place I found in my mind."

He goes on:

"I wanted the video to visually represent the internal feeling of anxiety and depression from an outward perception. I was so excited to keep it really stripped back compared to my other videos. This was important to me because I didn’t want to cloud the message behind it."

In lieu of that particular video, check out Polygraph Eyes from the same album (above), which chronicles a night out that goes seriously wrong, as well as I Love You Will You Marry Me (below), featuring a varied cast of viral online stars including PM Theresa May, Kim Kardashian-West, Donald Trump, Homer Simpson and Morrissey.

Australian singer-turned-actor Jason Donovan popped into the Radio 2 breakfast show this morning to chat to Sara Cox about reprising his star role as Parson Nathaniel in Jeff Wayne’s 40th anniversary tour of The War of the Worlds album.

The production features Liam Neeson as a 3D hologram as well as some giant crowd-invading martians!

Cardi B's made the internet go crazy after recording a 13-minute take on an ASMR video.

In case you're wondering, ASMR stands for autonomous sensory meridian response, and videos are becoming increasingly popular in helping viewers relax and fall asleep.

“I love ASMR,” Cardi B whispers in the video.

“My husband [Offset] thinks it’s very strange and weird that I watch ASMR every single day to go to bed.”

Cardi also talks about her hit Bodak Yellow, how she has found motherhood, and throws in a few okurrrrs for good measure, while stroking the microphone, a furry pillow and tapping her nails on a wooden toy - popular ASMR activities, we're told.

It's safe to say ASMR fans are pretty impressed.

“There’s a difference between R. Kelly and Robert.

"R. Kelly’s this fun, laughing, loving guy. But Robert…is the devil.”

These are the chilling words we hear in the trailer for a new three part series that is set to air in the US on the Lifetime channel from 3 January.

Detailing accusations of alleged abuse from multiple women, the docu-series will also feature commentary from John Legend, R&B singer Sparkle, talk show host Wendy Williams and civil rights activist Tarana Burke.

“Some very brave black women have trusted us with their stories, their truth and their trauma,” executive producer Dream Hampton said in a statement.

“They are survivors, and I’m honored to share their stories with the world.”

It's never easy to take on a role of a musical icon.

But in the new Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek explains how he went to huge lengths in order to avoid his portrayal of Freddie Mercury becoming a crude impersonation.

In fact, for Rami, becoming Freddie Mercury was as easy as going, "Awlright".

That gave him the star's effete British accent and, more importantly, told everyone on the set that he was ready for action.

"Everyone on set would hear me going 'Awlright' and that meant 'hurry up and move it along, let's rock and roll'."

Buble is joining James Corden to belt his most loved tunes, in honour of Friday's Stand Up to Cancer charity telethon - a poignant decision, after Bublé's son Noah was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer in 2016.

We're so pleased to here that Noah is on the road to recovery, and we'll all be tuning in on Friday.

The Toronto star's 12 top 10 Billboard chart hits in 2018 see him break the Fab Four's previous 1964 record.

AND... we're only in October - time for more yet at the rate Drake drops tracks.

To be fair to everybody's favourite mop top Scousers, however, Drake's record includes collabs and it's his appearance on Bad Bunny's new track MIA that's given him the record after it charted at #5.

Back in July you might remember how Drake beat another longstanding Beatles US chart record by having SEVEN songs in the top 10 at the same time, trumping their previous top tally of five, again during the height of 1964 Beatlemania.

Here's another fun fact: It's Drake's 32nd birthday tomorrow.

Perhaps he'll celebrate with a bit of early John, Paul, George and Ringo.

No, this isn't changes to the breakfast menu at a popular high street fast food restaurant (others are available).

We're talking here of course about Fleetwood Mac, who have just announced three huge European tour dates for next June.

The new-look band will play Berlin before heading over to Dublin for a gig at the RDS Arena on 13 June and then on to London's Wembley Stadium, 16 June.

If you manage to nab tickets on Friday, then you won't be seeing former guitarist Lindsey Buckingham who is currently in a legal battle with his former band after they gave him the Fleetwood sack earlier this year, allegedly because Stevie Nicks (above) didn't want to share the stage with him ever again.

In his stead you'll see Crowded House's Neil Finn and Heartbreaker Mike Campbell.
