Classic punk tunes have been given a classical music makeover.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has recorded an album of covers of hits by The Clash, Sex Pistols, and Buzzcocks.
It was the idea of Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock, 60, after peforming Pretty Vacant with a string quartet.
The album, Anarchy Arias, also features singers from the English National Opera.
Tracks include London Calling and Ever Fallen in Love and will be out in June.

The money raised from the sale of Beautiful Beautiful George Michael Love Painting will go to HIV/Aids charity The Goss-Michael Foundation, founded by George and his former partner Kenny Goss.

Well, well, well...
A surprise performance by Lorde at a library in New Zealand was, er, not actually Lorde.
Attendees of the weekly No Lights No Lycra dance party in Auckland excitedly reported that Lorde made a guest appearance to perform her new single Green Light.
But the “super ultra special guest” turned out to be a convincing impersonator.
Some took to social media to share their excitement.
Facebook user Claire Ulenberg thanked Lorde, external , saying her performance was "amazing".
"Thank you Ella aka #Lorde you secret ninja you surprising us like that and your voice was amazing live in the little hall in the dark! #greenlight. Those great whites, they have big teeth... Oh, they bite you !"
Organiser Craig Neilson posted on Facebook, external to say the singer was Hannah Horsfield, a music student at Auckland University.
He told the Guardian that most of the 100-strong crowd left convinced they had heard Lorde sing.
"I really expected that people would be leaving the hall a bit uncertain, but I guess I really shouldn’t have underestimated Hannah," he said.
And what was Lorde actually doing at the time? Eating chocolate eggs in London.
It was, she said, "fake news". But cute.

Drake has broken the single album streaming record in the US which was previously held by, erm, Drake.
Take that...erm... Drake.
The rapper's brand spanking new album More Life clocked up 385 million streams across all platforms in one week.
The Canadian star's 2016 album, Views, had previously owned the title with 245 million streams, according to Nielsen Music, external .
More Life is Drake's seventh consecutive album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
He was also the most streamed act on Spotify last year.
One the flipside - the rapper was jeered by disgruntled European fans after cancelling an Amsterdam concert at the last minute on doctor's orders.
Plastic cups were thrown on stage at the Ziggo Dome arena after fans waiting around 75 minutes for him to appear.
"Please leave the building, have another drink," urged a spokeswoman on the empty stage.
Promoters Mojo Concerts said a second performance scheduled for Tuesday night would go ahead adding: "Drake really wanted to perform tonight but unfortunately he became ill and his doctor has told him he can't perform tonight."

He has worked with Italian electronic producers Parisi on the track.
"Let's make America great again – but not a place that's filled with bigotry, racism and hate again," he raps over synths.
The powerful video sees a group of refugees break out into a contemporary dance routine amid a swirling, smoke-filled landscape.
RZA and Paris are to donate proceeds from digital sales and streams to the UN Refugee Agency, external .

Future Islands are seemingly champing at the bit to release their new album The Far Field.
It's been three years since the Baltimore-based band released their last album Singles.
But fresh from their appearance at the 6 Music Festival last weekend, William and Sam spoke to 6 Music about the new record which features Blondie's Debbie Harry on one of the songs.

Meanwhile, across town, well, in Las Vegas (and two days later) - Matt Berninger of The National was doing the same.
Both performances were done for a live tour of the show's score throughout the US.
Berninger's band actually recorded and released their cover on the soundtrack for the show’s second season.

Mistajam spoke to the artist, real name Jordan Cardy and his bandmate Noah Booth, about the new track Revolution.
He said: "We were just trying to mix genres of music together and make weird stuff. You don't get to hear a lot of it.
"We recorded this in New York in the Beastie Boys' studio and used all their guitar players and stuff. It was mad."

Some sad news to bring you.
Last week, we told you how Beyonce surprised fan Ebony Banks, who was being treated for a rare form of cancer , with a FaceTime message.
Ebony died on Sunday, her high school, Alief Hastings High School in Houston, Texas, confirmed on Twitter.
Students from the school held candlelight vigils in her honour.
Last week, her friends had used the hashtag #EBOBMEETSBEYONCE in the hope of attracting Beyonce's attention.
A few days after the hashtag trended the singer surprised Ebony with the call.
Producer Mura Masa and Charli XCX have shared the video for their new single 1 Night.
The pair co-wrote the song which is due to appear on Mura Masa's forthcoming debut album - which is due to be released in the summer.
He is due to play Coachella in California and is expected to announce further dates shortly.

Next year will be 40 years since the iconic musical hit cinema screens, bringing Sandy and Danny's summer romance to the masses.
Speaking to the Mirror, external , Olivia, who played good girl Sandy, said she and John, aka Danny Zucco, are working on something special to mark the film's anniversary next year.
"We are thinking up ways. Nothing to announce yet," the 68-year-old said.
"Forty years anniversary of Grease, which I can’t believe. Time goes so fast. It is so exciting."
That's the way it should be. Woo-hoo...yeh!

Handwritten journals belonging to Jeff Buckley are to be reproduced for the first time in the forthcoming book Jeff Buckley: His Own Voice.
Buckley's mother Mary Guibert and Rolling Stone contributing editor David Browne will compile and edit the singer's journals, letters, notes and lyric sheets for the book.
"There have been and probably always will be those who wish to speak for my son, take credit for his success or put words in his mouth," said Guibert in a statement.
"In choosing these pages to share with the world, I'm giving him the chance to speak with his own voice, for the record ... and for his fans to see what a sweet, funny, amazing human being he was."
Da Capo Press aim to publish His Own Voice in the spring of 2019, around the time of the 25th anniversary of Buckley's acclaimed album Grace .

Tributes have been paid to Clem Curtis, the original lead singer with the British soul band The Foundations , who has died at the age of 76.
Curtis sang on the band's 1967 number one hit Baby, Now That I've Found You, which holds claim to be the first chart-topper by a British multi-racial band.
The band were regulars on the bill at Cali Reunion Discos in Dunstable, run by Sid Hudson.
Speaking to BBC Three Counties Radio , promoter Sid Hudson - who gave the band their first break -said Curtis was "an early pioneer of soul music" in the UK.

The song appeared on the soundtrack to the film Shallow Hal while a cover version by Alison Krauss was featured in the 1997 Australian comedy, The Castle.
Clem left the band before their biggest US hit Build me Up Buttercup.

That's a question that might just be answered by a new film called Atlantis, inspired by Pharrell Williams childhood in Virginia Beach.
The musical, described as a Romeo and Juliet style story, is currently in the works at Fox, according to an an exclusive in the Hollywood Reporter.
Theatre director Michael Mayer, who has worked on shows like Spring Awakening and the Green Day musical American Idiot, is attached to direct.
It makes us feel all... happy.
If only someone could put that into song for us.

M.I.A. will also close the festival "in a unique finale packed with surprises".
She said: "I hope you rate my curating. I'm happy and honoured to be a part of Meltdown amongst important artists who have contributed to keeping it real in the past.
I’m bringing together new outlaw musicians from everywhere, who have all contributed to keeping things weird, exciting, opinionated, loud, emotional, brave or off the grid in the present climate.
The festival runs from Friday 9 – Sunday 18 June.

The singer has just completed her first tour down under and, according to the New Zealand Herald, external , told the audience at the Mount Smart Stadium that she was not “good” at touring, adding: ‘I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again".
"The only reason I’ve toured is you. I’m not sure if touring is my bag."
Say it ain't so Adele.
The singer has been on tour for the past 15 months with dates across Europe and the US and apparently she tearfully called it "the greatest accomplishment in my career”.
“It’s changed my life. I understand why I do it.”
Her show on Sunday went ahead despite wet conditions, with the singer wearing a fetching pink poncho.
