There is so much good music around today that we've combined some new videos for you to finish.

Fresh from their collaboration with rising R&B star SZA, Maroon 5 have brought rapper A$AP Rocky on board for their track Whiskey.

In the song, Adam Levine sings: She kissed me like a whiskey.

We think he means something warm and powerful rather than something small, Scottish and which made him screw up his face.

    1) Ed Sheeran is a real trooper

Poor old Ed broke a wrist, elbow and rib while being knocked off his bicycle by a car in London on Monday.

The accident meant he had to postpone five upcoming gigs in Asia but he soldiered on, strapped on a sling and strolled down the red carpet on the way to picking up an award for best act in the world today at the Q Awards on Wednesday.

We have to hand it to him for that.

While there he revealed to 6 Music's Abbie McCarthy that after basically winning at music and appearing in Game of Thrones he's now set to appear in an up and coming US cartoon series...

Liam Gallagher and SkeptaImage source, Getty Images

    3) There's a whole lotta love between Liam and Skepta

Liam Gallagher - with a new number one album to his name - rocked up at the Q Awards, like Ed, to pick up not one, but two awards.

The Mancunian frontman was given the best live act award by his old Britpop mucker Richard Ashcroft, then later handed the icon award by grime star Skepta.

The 2016 Mercury Prize winner, external described the former Oasis singer as "a true, true icon", while fellow rapper Stormzy shouted out Liam as "my G!".

Skepta said: "He's taken his iconic place and no-one will take it until he passes away."

Liam then sent the love back Skepta's way, saying: "I wanna thank him for keeping it interesting." We bet they had an interesting evening afterwards.

Even if they only went to the shop together, it was probably done in a rock 'n' roll way.

    5) Rami Malek is slaying it as Freddie Mercury

We've still got a good year to wait until it's released but early photos suggests the Mr Robot actor has been perfectly cast as the late, flamboyant Queen frontman in the film Bohemian Rhapsody.

Director Bryan Singer posted the above image of the 36-year-old star in action, alongside the caption: "Couldn’t help myself and had to post this iPhone pic."

It wasn't quite the 'new music' that we expected when were were told of an unreleased George Michael song but nevertheless there is something infectious about Nile Rodgers' remix of his song Fantasy.

It's made doubly-poignant as Nile was working on it just prior to George's death last Christmas.

Now, we have a video featuring lots of footage of George doing what he did best. Getting his groove on.

Drum and bass duo Sigma were the guests of Mistajam on 1Xtra on Thursday night where their new track Forever, which features Quavo (who else?) and Sebastian Kole was chosen as the Jam Hot track.

But how did they land the Migos' man of the moment?

"We wrote it in LA," they said. "It was an amazing time and I think we picked up the LA vibe, there's a little g-funk in there and we came back without a rap vocal.

"We thought, Quavo's the man and we reached out and he said yes."

London singer-songwriter Jessie Ware released her third studio album, Glasshouse today.

She performed a stripped-back version of new single Alone for Radio 2's Jo Whiley last night and compared the stress of the new release to giving birth, as well as performing a cover of a Neil Young classic.

Such is her appeal, she's also been in the Radio 1 Live Lounge having a crack another cover in the form of a Nick Jonas track.

    See how Ware faired below..

We hope Neil Young doesn't get jealous...

Tom Grey from Gomez chats to Matt Everitt about playing Bring It On in full

This year was a great year for 20th anniversaries with the likes of OK Computer, Urban Hymns and Be Here Now, to name but a few.

So next year has a big act to follow but Southport alt-rockers Gomez are having a fair old crack. They won the 1998 Mercury Music Prize with their album Bring It On, which beat the favourites Massive Attack's Mezzanine and the aforementioned record by The Verve.

To mark the anniversary, they'll re-issue the album and perform it in its entirety at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Tom Grey from the band told 6 Music's Matt Everitt all about it. He still can't believe the accidental success of the record from a gang of teenage "hobbyists".

    Quote Message

We didn't know we were gonna make a record that like a million people were gonna own!

An Atlantic storm, which is due to hit parts of the UK and the Republic of Ireland this weekend, has been named Brian, the Irish Met office has said.

The storm - which could bring gusts of wind of up to 70mph (112kmph) - is likely to hit parts of south-west Ireland in the early hours tomorrow morning, so please do be careful out there.

While it looks like it could be a nasty one, the news hasn't stopped Arctic Monkeys fans from seeing the humour in the name.

Brianstorm (above) is the opening track off the Sheffield band's 2007 second album Favourite Worst Nightmare and sees singer Alex Turner warning us of an "unforcasted storm" of the same name.

They always were ahead of their time. Or maybe there's just a big Arctics fan in the Met Office.

Thrilling news for fans of Sam Smith as the singer has this morning announced that he'll head out on a UK + European tour.

This is the actual Sam Smith we think, not a hologram (scroll down to get that reference).

It all starts in Sheffield on 20 March and the final UK show is in London on 7 April.

Although Lisbon, Madrid and Verona are usually nice in May, so maybe something to bear in mind before you book your next summer holiday.

Just don't get too attached to your new holiday friends, because we're not all as good at goodbyes as Sam.

    Ready? Okay...

The Guardian, external give it a measly 2/5 from, accusing him of drifting "towards the middle of the road with a debut album apparently designed to punctuate rounds of Ken Bruce’s PopMaster."

    Ouch. But we love PopMaster.

The Independent, external are more keen on the record though, giving it three stars.

They say: "Give the lad his due: it would have been easy for the One Direction heartthrob to trot out a collection of ersatz R&B crowd-pleasers, but on Flicker he keeps faith with the West Coast influences that first drew him into music."

It's three stars again from The Evening Standard, external which says: "Navel-gazing ballads make 1D fans weak at the knees."

A new musical based on the life of Tina Turner is set to open in London's West End in 2018 - but if Tina had got her own way, it might never have happened.

"I didn't want to [sign up] because I didn't really understand it or agree with it, whatever there is - the magic between stage and music is totally different," she said at the Tina: The Musical's launch this week.

"So I'm learning and experiencing what musicals are about."

"Retirement is wonderful," the 77-year-old singer added.

"You sleep long, do what you want, decorate the house two or three times. Just easy things that you dreamt about when you were working and that's all you did."
