...we've got a final entry for you.

    And it's a good 'un.

Remember last week when Chris Martin released a new Coldplay 'non-single' on his 40th birthday?

Well apparently that wasn't the only thing the singer had up his sleeve for the occasion.

He also marked the big 4-0 by turning his Malibu mansion into Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.

In attendance, as well as friends and family including ex wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their two kids, were Beyonce, Jay Z, Orlando Bloom, Julia Roberts, Muse’s Matt Bellamy, Robert Downey Junior and James Corden.

US rapper Future has made a new chart record in his native States after his newest album debuted at number one on the albums chart...replacing his own self-titled album, which topped the chart a week earlier.

We think that's known as a monopoly in the business world.

That makes him the first artist in more than 60 years to achieve back-to-back number one debuts in successive weeks.

Which is pretty cool but also perhaps indicates how short the average attention span is.

  4. 5 Secrets to Stay Forever Young - by Bob Marley's mentorpublished at 14:48 GMT 6 March 2017

    Paul Glynn
    Music News LIVE reporter

    Lee Scratch PerryImage source, Getty

Listen up all you hip young gunslingers and you might learn a thing or two.

He was Bob Marley's mentor back in the day in Jamaica (scroll down for more on the new Bob musical), before re-inventing reggae music as the Godfather of Dub.

Now Lee Scratch Perry is back out on the road at the grand old age of 80, touring the length of the UK this week.

The colourful Jamaican singer, producer and celebrity vegan, performed to a joyous and eclectic crowd at the Village Underground in London last night.

We caught up with him in a hazy backstage green room afterwards to find out his top tips for eternal youth in music...and in life.

    1) Have the right kind of fans, friends...and girlfriends

    Lee Scratch Perry

Lee told us: "Many angels make me happy....

"I don't have vanity but I have fans galore. Intelligent fans. Me don't have no ghetto fans or Trenchtown fans.

"I choose the people that I need - not the ones I want - I always choose what I need."

So the old Rolling Stones song was right all along then.

    2) Drink lots of water and don't smoke cigarettes

    Lee Scratch Perry

"This is a tip [water]...the rain can make anything happen...and I've got lots of rain" he said.

Adding: "Kids of the new generation are not stupid anymore. They don't smoke them cigarettes..."

Earlier in the evening on stage with his band he improvised the words: "Smoking give you cancer...and cancer is not the answer".

    Nice.

    3) Don't sell your soul to the devil.

“Most of the young musicians these days have been captured by Lucifer and locked up as slaves playing reggae dancehall music.

"The path of destruction and bad luck.

"The modern world need to start to wake up. Make a positive plan to serve and not beg."

He added: "Develop an extra-terrestrial brain, a bird brain, magnet brain, a computer brain, electric brain."

    Got that?

    4) Stay ahead of fashion.

Check out Lee's new boots. "Blue like the sky".

    Lee Scratch Perry
    Image caption,

    Lee Scratch Perry's new boots

    Enough said.

    And finally...

    5) Stay on the rightous path.

"I won't have no ragamuffin band. I will have my friends. I make a spiritual band.

"I don't do the ragamuffin songs, I come back to Jesus Christ."

People of (tonight's venue) Guildford. Hear these words.

"A lot’s happened within the world in those twenty years, hasn’t it? It’s a tough place out there. We’re not here to get into the politics of the world but what we can offer is escapism and a bit of positivity in people’s lives."

Mr Career-turn-around James Arthur has revealed he is is planning a tell-all autobiography to "inspire" fans.

The 28-year-old has seen a career re-birth after a string of social media gaffes led to him being dropped by his record label in 2014.

The singer, who endures near-daily battles with anxiety and panic attacks, told the Press Association he wanted his book to serve as a self-help guide for others who face similar issues.

"I want to talk to people about how I felt a little bit different from a young age and felt a little bit weird and a little bit like an outcast and the journey that I've been on to get to this place."

He added that he hit his lowest ebb during the Brit awards in 2014.

"At the Brits two years ago, Jimmy Carr got up and made some crack about me having a meltdown and I remember watching it, thinking, 'I am a joke in this country, there's no coming back from this'.

"Not only was I an X Factor winner that got dropped by Syco - and when that happens you're never heard of again - but everyone thought I was a clown.

"I was in those 'where are they now' articles."
