Like poor Marilyn Manson below, Foo Fighter Dave Grohl knows all about breaking a leg on stage.

And we don't mean in a Shakespearean way.

The band were forced to delay their Glastonbury Festival headline slot by a year after Dave broke his leg falling offstage at a gig in Sweden in summer 2016.

So that's probably why his heart - and shoe - went out to a fan on crutches at their gig in Washington DC this weekend.

Sabryn (below) went to see the band in the US capital on crutches and was told by Grohl's orthopedic doctor that she'd need a shoe on her foot to fully recover.

"I told him that my shoes didn't fit over it because it's pretty big and my shoes are kinda small. So Dave said, 'You need one of my big high tops!' and I laughed it off."

Naturally the nicest man in rock went to get it for her.

She added: "I wore it for the rest of the night after Dave told me to put it on.

"It's definitely one of the coolest things to ever happen, and probably the funniest."
